A: Very plain and I kind of get sick of seeing this most times I visit Gaia.
B: It's alright, but just a little better than A.
C: I like this a little more than the first two, but I also think it gives an unrealistic idea of how much gold you get from doing typical things around the site. Most of the items on those avatars are Cash Shop and you either need to spend real money or pay the stupidly inflated prices in the Marketplace.
D: Pretty balanced out, although might become irrelevant when those topics are yesterday's news.
E: As much as I like this, it really doesn't say anything about what Gaia is. I'd be confused what the purpose of the site is if I were a newcomer.
F: Really like this one. Shows off one of Gaia's biggest assets and displaying the huge character customization complements it nicely.
G: Too feminine. Although Gaia is mostly aimed at girls nowadays, anyhow.
H: Pretty indifferent on this one.
I: Nicely balanced, although it might confound new users since the Housing system is outdated and seems to suffer from numerous problems.
J: Balanced out, informative. I like it well enough.
K: It's well done, but there's nothing to really incline people to join.
L: Too cash oriented. Users would join simply to find out they either need to drop quite a bit of cash to get those kind of items displayed or make tons of gold through other means.
I love K. It may not have anything like 'forums, chat, marketplace, etc' written all over it..
But the art is beautiful, and it makes older members want to stay around..
People who don't join because of it not looking interesting really that is by far the best front page.
It makes it look like you aren't desperate for members, and maybe you will attract the right ones.

A: Meh, okay, one of my least favorites.
B: I don't really like it. confused It doesn't "feel" Gaia.
C: I like. ^_^ But I'm an avid avatar creator, too, so yeah.
D: I like it enough, but it's somewhat boring.
E: I LOVE THIS! It's just so...so...cool. @w@
F: Lots a familiar avatars. :3 I thnik it's really cool.
G: I really like this, another avatar customization thing. ^_^
H: I don't like it. Looks cluttered. confused Doesn't explain much about the site.
I: HOLY EFF. That's my avatar. owo I dunno how I like this one, I can't quite stop staring at my avatar.....
J: Pretty good. Kinda plain.
K: The art is so fantastic that I love this homepage very much. <333
L: Meh. Pretty, but no, it's exaggerating too much on earning gold. D;

Yippee! New login pages. ^w^

J: It's nice a balanced. You may want to word some things differently because I feel the messages are giving off too much of that "group pressure" atmosphere, something that Teens want to avoid irl.

K: I know I'm going to be biased on this one. I love it, it gives off a relaxing atmosphere, nice community, creativity, and adventure (and that's how I view Gaia as a website myself). But... It makes the site look like it's catering to the younger crowd, let alone showing what Gaia really have to offer. I can't say much about user's expectations and such, because this really depends on user's interest/preference (gaming, blogging, sharing art, etc).

L: I didn't care much about what you used for dressing up the featured avatars before, but this one seems to bother me (not sure why though, maybe color, maybe it's that star kitten rig item). Having both zOMG and Rally spotlighted is repetitive ("virtual hangout" message kind of way). Maybe you could replace Rally with art-arena/aquarium-tanks/profile/etc for the "show off" section. Other than that, it's not bland. :0

I totally agree K was my favorite out of them all.
K: This one really surprised me. I got when I logged in this afternoon, and I love it. I would love to see more like that.
I have to say I love H: Avatars.

Wanna know why?

We were complaining that Gaia was becoming too facebook/myspacey. That the advertising was showing people dressed up as miniature versions of themselves and that's NOT what most Gaians dress like.

I think this front page really says a lot. heart
I seen someone advertise this thread over in SF--

K is my absolute favorite thus far and would be how I'd love to see the site depicted. I'd likely recommend the 'Join Now' be made ....slightly more modern. It might be deemed too mature than the given audience that Gaia has as their primary demographic. Assuming that such an adjustment doesn't completely destructed the actual art of the picture. (I like it as is, though.)

E My next favorite. The font/color of Be a Complete Badass seems off. Seems like it needs a slightly different shade of blue. As does the 'Register Now' button. Seems as though it should be red and demanding to be clicked. :>

A Made me lol. (in a good way.) But I don't think that anyone who hasn't already been a member of the site would be able to find funny-- and thus it would be too simple. Should you guys decided to keep this I would play around with the color scheme. Green on the blue-- again just seems off to me in those shades.

B Catch Phrase Screams Burger King-- but overall? Not bad. I'd recommend some "cooler items" in the what to wear screen. To be mixed in with those tetris blocks. A funky color combination. (Which is a start of a trend on the remaining choices that seem off to me.) The purple headers seem like they should be the new blue verses the old purple to also match with the relatively nice background.

C This, once added with color-- would be awesome. Love the catch phrase used here. And the steps very to the point and clear.

D Great concept-- I'd think it would be better to redesign the house and the bubbles.

--

F Don't like light/dark segregation concept. Do like the use of the zOMG background. Mix F & C together and you have the beginnings of something great.

G Great catch phrase-- but I don't care for this one.

H Too cluttered/too busy to be a landing page. Toned down with the same concept and then.. maybe?

I Like the funky home design-- doesn't mesh with the header. Mix this in with D, maybe?

J The purple mixed with the old site design would make sense. Otherwise this design screams Gaia is merely a Twilight Fan site. If intended, disregard.

L Likely my third favorite. I'd only change the Earn/Collect/Show Off to different caption headers. It doesn't seem to reflect the ascending order the design is initially depicting, yet with the the Earn & Show Off it seems as though it should be. It either needs to be more directed to the ascending or something altered to where it doesn't appear the captions reflect ascension at all.

Hoping that my feedback helps and is not received as overly critical. ^^;
gaia front page get better and better
Edit: It's K or World

I just saw the picture of the fishing hole or whatever. It's really cute! I love it. The art is great, I would love to see more art like that as the login page!
