I'm getting entry updates by using Google Reader: http://www.google.com/reader/
(Just click 'Add a subscription' and put in the RSS feed URL: http://gaiainteractive.wordpress.com/feed/)

It doesn't send updates to your gmail, but it's useful for me since I'm subscribed to a lot of sites. smile
