What do you think should be in a Help Center? UPDATED 6/26

Hi Gaians all over the world!,

We're in the process of designing and building an all-new Help Center to replace out the dated FAQs section of the site. This Help Center should help you learn more about the site and help you have more fun since it'll not only contain new FAQs but also a new searchable knowledge base and video tutorials on "how to do ___ on Gaia."

What else would you like to see in the new Help Center?

Would you like to see a "sneak preview" of it if we can arrange it?

i would like to see a FAQ of general questions, about gaia cash, reporting system, gold help forum rules :p

I think some important thing to add would definitively be an explanation of gold sinks and inflation, alongside of an explanation of how the Gaia economy works.
Also, the rules of each forum (on a nice resumed version with a link to the full ones) and what are the definions of spam and trolling, and why and where they are (or not) allowed 3nodding

EDIT: Oh, and very important, the diference between mods, admins and artists. A lot of people seems to have troubles understanding which is which.

I'd like to see a like dictionary like things for all the 'lingo' from GAIA. Make a 'tour video' of GAIA for the newer people here. I was certainly lost at first. Does this make sense? I'd love to see the preview! wink

When i started gaia i was pretty confused. i asked people where they got their items from and i did not know what marketplace was.I think you should put in a tutorial of how to get gold.Because a bunch of new gaians keep on asking me.and also..you should add where is the appropriate place to post stuff like in the mtv hills fourm there were a bunch of new gaians posting please donate.or stuff for sale.

typical arenas mistakes...

A help center definitely needs very clear instructions for How to Report. Separate entries for each kind of report, like PMs, scams, etc...

Plus, how to report things for which there is no button -- like directing people to the Contact Us page for reporting off-site activity. At least, that's what I do when I see Gaia stuff on eBay. Or forums that rip off Gaia designs -- both things I've reported in the past.

Newer users, and even older users who've never reported something, tend to get confused sometimes about where to go. Having all the links and instructions in one place will help those who find the guide, plus will help all those helpful souls in Q&A who dutifully respond to all the many inquiries there.

I hope if there's ever a new New User's Quest again (hey, I haven't made a mule in MONTHS so how would I know, lol) -- make the Help Center a required visit!

And sure, preview it, BBY!!

Perhaps a couple of pointers for newbs not to get hacked..?
Maybe a way to delete accounts on gaia XD?

i think something along the lines of how to trade and use the marketplace would be good, people can sometimes get confused about that, oh and a very clear explanation on how to add multimedia to profiles! that seems to be a frequestly asked question in the QA forum.

Ok, I know we can do much better with general and detailed FAQs, videos of Gaia (and certain features), info especially catered for new users (yay!), a glossary for features and acronyms. I don't see any problem with doing these things.
