Thanks for your feedback. I know some of you are confused as to why we had a contest and the changed the name later, but we changed it based on what the majority of Gaians wanted. We thought OMGaia was cute and fun, but the time has come for an update. So, there you have it -- Gaia News & Updates!

Ah, this is better. I prefer this to "OMGaia", because I didn't think the previous
name told us much about what happened (and I don't really like the "OMG" names like
"zOMG!" very much). Out of interest, when did this actually get renamed? I've only just
noticed it.

next time you go for a naming contest, have a submission form, and the names (or variations thereof) that gets the most submissions should go in a site poll

lol, Gaia regretting the majority vote because they didn't realize "the immature and stupid" no longer comprise the minority but the majority. I mean, really now, you expected these "supposed" 13 year olds (though you know they lied, most of them are 12 and below) to vote for a title and actually care about whether the title accurately described the forum? Riiiiight.....well, can't blame you for wishful thinking.

GNN should've won in the first place: Gaia News Network = Gaia News & Updates. See?

Though I do agree with dark77778: why separate Announcements from News & Updates? As far as organization goes, the forums fail: why can't y'all just list all of the forums and their respective subforums at once? New members probably won't even notice the subforums (they don't even read stickys) the way you've organized the landing page (not that it didn't have this problem in the old layout as well). Most people don't even know they can click on the left-hand-sign icon to list them all. But enough with the useless extra clicks; just bare them all out in the open. I beseech you.
