I personally like FFVIII for it having pioneered RPG's opening videos.

Do you think video game music has become a viable and profitable media?
It must be quite enjoyable and fun working with such great artists of all sorts of styles of music. Is there a particular moment/experience that you'd like to share with us that stands out?


For Mr Nobuo: I am a huge fan! and have been listening to your work since i was a young gamer in the 80's, your music has been quite an inspiration for me as a wouldbe musician, composer and arranger.
When you compose for video games do you only write at work, or are there times when your doing daily things and you get some inspiration and have to jot something down?
And what are your opinions on composing and technology?
You had not much to work with as far as midi when you first composed music for the first Final Fantasy game.
How much of an impact do you think technology has had on writing music such as your own and other composers and what kind of roles do you think it will play in the future?

He's been an inspiration to me since I began playing video games.
The first Final Fantasy game I played was seven.
Ever since I heard Aeris's Theme, I couldn't get enough of his music.
Mr. Uematsu inspired me to learn the violin.
