Hi Gaians,
We built this new forum as a better way to communicate with you about some of the stuff that's happening around the site, and here at Gaia HQ. There’s ALWAYS something going on in the world of Gaia, but we’ve had two big issues about getting the word out: 1) we can’t do an announcement for everything, and 2) putting info in different forums means you have to jump around to find all the good stuff. Hence this “Help Gaia Name This Forum.” It’ll let us get more news, features, and other info out to you easily, all in one spot. Think of it sort of like a blog – Gaia forums style! Topics will include: * Spotlights of cool stuff that you, our members, are doing * News from the Community & Customer Service Team (aka Admins) * Notices from the Dev team about site changes and tweaks – think both improvements to the site and bug fixes * Archives of Home Page topics, Ask-The-Admin threads, and marketing newsletters (yup, they'll be reincarnated soon) * Info about some of the Gaia staff * Cutting political commentary, including our thoughts on America’s current foreign policy strategy (no, wait….that’s on other blogs) * And more! (Meaning anything else we think is fit to post) And to put the finishing touches on it, we need your help in naming this forum. Give us some ideas here (by posting your submissions in this thread). While we can't guarantee that we'll go with one of them, you’ll come up with way better names than us. Or at least you’d better. biggrin Click this sentence to see what the forum looks like and contains. The user with the chosen name will win: * a limited edition Admins autographed Gaia sweatshirt or t-shirt (your choice) * 50,000 Gold * full bragging rights about how they helped make Gaia history! Some of the names that we're kicking around are: Gaia Insider, zOMyBlog, and the Gaia ForumBlog Of Stupendous Awesomeness. So suggest a name (and a brief description if you care to) by April 15th, 11:59pm PDT. And no, there are no taxes associated with the prizes. If two members come up with the same name, whoever posts first gets the rights to it. For eligibility, your account must be in good community standing, meaning your account must not be associated with botting, scamming, and/or any other nefarious activity.
