User Image• Siphon the gas out of your neighbor's car so he has to take the bus to work.
• While he's riding the bus, disconnect the electrical lines from his house.
• Replace all his light bulbs with energy efficient bulbs, which are actually regular bulbs with the filament removed.
• Recycle useless junk you find sitting around his house, like his high school football trophies and priceless stamp collection.
• Drain his swimming pool into his backyard, converting it into new swampland for wildlife habitation.
• Repeat the process with your other neighbors.

i am on it know to find a gas can to put all that gas in and i will need a disguise.

GO VEGAN!

Srsly. Reducing the demand for animal products means fewer animals being raised (to remain cost-effective) and less of our valuable resources going to raise "food animals." The same amount of energy can be obtained from plant cultivation using a significantly less amount of resources! It's good for your health, the well-being of innocent animals, and the planet!! Don't believe me?

One source, another source, and even Wikipedia has it right!

I can point you in the direction of great vegan resources if you're interested.

BECOME VEGAN!

More steak for me! 4laugh

"No one should be a vegan without first sitting on a real honest-to-goodness plow and
plowing a field. Look behind you, and marvel at all the chopped-up rabbit nests,
mouse nests, lizard/snake body parts, etc. Speculate on the (thousands/millions) of
small animals and insects dying for you. How big or human-like does a face
need to be before you'll attach value to it?"

Just don't forget to stay clear of tofu and other exotic things (long transportation = energywaste) and palm oil (they burn down the rain forest to make plantations).
Seen some real fun stuff... rofl rofl
Seen some really great stuff idea

This is what we do - and I've done for like 30 years or so (My little memory book):

1) Turn of the water in the shower meanwhile you use the soap or cleanser
2) Lessen your shower time 1 minute.
3) Exchange all bulbs for energy saving ones (we don't have anything else anymore) They also save you money in the long run as they normally keep 10 times longer.
4) recycling!!!
5) Turn off all eletrical stuff, including bulbs with the OFF-button (if there IS one) - that saves lots of energy - more than you can imagine. Here the main eletrical company has come with the calculation that our stanby eletr. gears together in a normal home takes about 2000 KwH/year only!!! That¨s a lot of energy.
6) Cold winters with snow? keep the heat on maximum.19-20 degrees C - and about 17-18 during night. Use blinders and curtains. Remeber that all of Europe - except UK uses Centigrades!!!
7) Insulate from draught around the windows with expanding foam.
cool If you have to use a car back/to work - get someone to share the rides with you. Half cost - only one car. If you are 3 - a third of the price foe each...
9) Try use Public transports and push bikes instead of the car. - Press your politician to enhance the public transports so it becomes easier for eveeryone to use them - even if one lives outside a town/city. * Plan your shopping for the week so you only have to go once/week.
10) When cooked or baked in the oven: Turn off the heat a lil bit in advance - when it's cooling let the hatch be open and use the heat from the oven to heat up the room.
11) defrost food in the fridge - saves lots of energy.
12) Exchange old eletrical machines like dishwasher, laundry etc for modern AAA-tagged ones.
13) DON'T WASTE FOOD!!! Meat cost way more than noone knows in energy to produce!!! -Eat more veggies. Try buy ecological marked veggies as well as meat and chicken and eggs. The chemicals used on fields are also increasing a bad environment - not to talk about the way it's many times manufactured!
14) Buy close produced food if you can - transports cost energy...
15) Take care of your leafed trees and bushes!!! You have no idea how much CO2 they consume and helps the environment!!
16) Plant a tree - it WILL help in the long run. smile

Here in Sweden our houses are very well insulated - a total difference from for ex our neighbour Denmark. We use 2-or 3 pane windows. This is normal standard here. So despite it can be down towards minus 30 C in the winter in many places - the houses keep warm fairly easy. Also snow if it's shuffled up against the walls function as insulation. smile

Wow, looks like every body has covered most of everything! ^_^ Awesome! Happy Earth Day!!!

Also, some tips I have are:
*Print things doubles sided to save paper
*Reuse water bottles up to 3 times
*Recycle the bottles afterward 4laugh
*Unplug stuff when you're not using it
*Plant things!!! ^_^

Yeah, these have probably already been said, but THERE YA GO! ^_^
