Sticky: Gaia Store Messenger Bags

Gah I actually scanned the Gaia shop for a messenger bag.=( I don't see much point because it would cost a fortune. gonk

But I would like to see a something that defines Gaia but doesn't have it blatantly written across.Cute,Unrecognizable and Fuctional.xDD (And order able from Britain kthnx).


And a few inner pocket.=D That's always cute.
And a place to put charms.
But I wouldn't want a weak design,I'd want it to be sturdy at least.
Maybe a wing design?

Something that is durables. A strong shoulder strap with a pad. Maybe certain Gaia designs like NPCS, Monthly Collectable Art, something for boys and girls. Also pockets for MP3's (like I-Pods), pencils,Handheld Video Games, stuff like that, Thoese thing for key chains. Soemthing that also might go with other Gaia store items.

I honestly thing pockets and zippers are cute. little hiding places for yor little personal thingies is awesome. plus they can be wicked cute... just... with the shape and the change of texture and everything.

big enough to fit 2 3 ring binders comfortably...

but not boxy or hard... round bottom, so a curved and rounded side for the seams... with like, loose, kind of pleated seems so it's like.... rounded and has room for stuff+ books and binders... that's a problem with some other messenger bags I have. D:

... cloth handles... because basic messenger bag straps are crap. i don't know if anyone can invision that... lol.

oh yeah, simple print fabric with a light design... maybe with like a gain symbol as the "watermark" if you will... like a wing... (that bag might be light blue) or a kiki or a coco's face.. or you could have like different little actions of them doing cute things like flipping and going "whee" like they do on the bumper stickers, and like just the face...like a cute symple repetative pattern.

stay away from sterio-type related things unless you're going to make sets for all sorts... that was the other piece of advice...

you want something that all types of people will enjoy, or you want to have variety so people will want them. whee

If you are goign to sell messenger bags then you should sell buttons with them too! haha.

Hopefully you will will go outside the box again like the Orly Owl Hat and the Squid arm! XD. As one users said, make masculine ones! biggrin

Adjustable straps are always handy considering not everyone is proportionate enough for the one size fits all type of thing. Big enough to hold a few books (maybe tough enough to handle all my CCNA and networking books lol ) Enough pencil holders and pockets just to throw stuff real quick so you don't have to go digging at the bottom of the bag for the stuff.

Also, I'd love to see the old Gaia Online logo on a messenger bag, i'd wear it with pride lol

The strap should be adjustable. There should be pencil holders along with maybe a cellphone/ipod pocket. The foldover should be held closed with velcrox(sp?) and not latches or buttons. Velcrox is so much easier to open and its probably cheaper to manufacture.
Maybe have two main pockets for books and other large stuff.
Oh and the designs shouldn't be overly Gaiaish(like having lots ok kiki and lasered on npcs. (maybe just keep it cool and contemporary with Gaias logo)/girlish. I would love to have a Gaia messenger bag as long as its not to girly. sweatdrop

Hmm. All I really care about is that there's different kinds-so more than one bag please, because otherwise, Id end up with the same one as everyone else at school, you know? wink

Oh! And instead of velcro (which is way too noisy), what about a magnet? So that you don't break the silence in class when you're fiddling with your bag rolleyes No velcro! And not pink, please? xd Or perhaps, make the bags in different colors...

Alright, some feedback:

• Provide masculine and feminine designs, don't leave us guys left with bags that look like purses and no alternatives!
  
• A variety of colors
  
• Adjustable shoulder strap with a shoulder pad. 3nodding
  
• REALLY strong straps, my current bag's strap ripped off after only a couple days and I had to tie it. sad
  
• Add some cushioning on the back of the bag, where it may lay against your hip.
  
• A handle! Sometimes you just gotta grab the back on the way, no time to fiddle with the strap!
  
• A buckle or Velcro to keep the flap of the bag closed
  
• Zippers to keep pockets closed... even with the flap, some tossing around can cause stuff to fly out
  
• Make it usable for school! Meaning, add pockets for pens/pencils, little stuff, and plenty of room for notebooks/books/laptop. biggrin
  
• Add a water bottle pouch to one of the sides
  
• Include a small pocket on the outside that we can throw change in smile
  
• Also, add a pocket for a CD/MP3 player, with a little hole for the headphones cord. 3nodding Extra brownie points if the bag comes with hookups and controls on the strap.
  
• A keychain hooker-upper-thinger!
  
• Include some surprises, like a couple Gaia pencils and maybe some Gaia pins like the ones that used to be for sale. razz Those kinds of things would be just plain nice. ^_^
  
• Maybe a pocket for our plushies, so their head can stick out? Cuuuute, for those who want it.

I want to add, though, that I hate bags that are made of stiff, thick materials. I'd like to see a more flexible bag. 3nodding

Also, I don't think the Gaia logo should be OMGHUGEANDRIGHTTHERE, so that should someone not play Gaia anymore, they can still use the bag. -shrugs- Also it would be a way to avoid stupid questions.

i agree with all of it!
i love floppy bags. i'm a hippie at heart(curtesy of my parents biggrin ) and i love soft, loose, swingy bags to carry around. it should be made of some worn kean material, perfect for a messenger bag. but not TOO floppy where you can't put a laptop or anything precious in it without breaking whatever's in there when you set it down.


and i DEFINATELY agree on the logo thing. i think it should be on the INSIDE of the bag flap so it can be OMGRIGHTTHERE when you open the flap maybe on the bottom left/right, but is hidden when you close the flap, yknow? like right next to where you would put pencils or something i dunno.

Make sure that the straps are adjustable, and don't hurt your sholder when you carry the bag. Put some padding in the strap or something. And make the bag big enough so that we can use it for a school bag. Big enough for binders and text books. Also, try to make it so that the strap doesn't rip after the first week of using it, I hate when that happens. I also like zippers on my bags, so the stuff won't fall out. 3nodding
It's also a god idea to make more than one type of bag, with different designs. Not only geared towards one sex.
