All conventions I know of and have been too [which are around 100+] there have been some sort of fee. Depending on where the convention is/how long it is for. For example ACen [aka: Anime Central] located here in Chicago, IL is a 3 day weekend thing, from Friday till Sunday night. For the whole weekend it costs 50 to 60$ but if you plan on just going one day I before you have pay 20 or 25$ a ticket. But it all depends on the location of the convention in which you are trying to attend. Whatever the location of the convention you plan to attend all the information/website links will be under that sticky-ed thread topic. But no, majority of them cost fee's to attend the convention. Only a hand full of small anime group conventions cost nothing. but I am pretty safe in saying all convention attend by GaiaOnline cost money to enter the convention.
