I've been wanting to go to a convention for a while, but I live in the Florida Panhandle and I've never heard of any conventions near here. However, I just discovered that there is one in Atlanta and I kinda wanted to go, but after reading your thread, now I really want to go and I feel so prepared and everything. You rock!

Ah,thankyou very much. <3 I went to my first con in March [Cleveland Colossal Con 3], it was much fun...though I spazzed out when I first went in... and I think I scared a few cosplayers. sweatdrop Especially the Gaara cosplayer...

Yeah, there's AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta) and it happens in September. That might be my first con too. xd

Note about the BRING ENOUGH MONEY thing (and the setting aside of it) PLEASE bring money for food, begging for money on the last day of the con pisses MOST ppl off. u'll have some that are nice (and many that are just as broke as u are), but i know that it makes things irritating trying to walk down the hallway with ppl saying "will u donate blah blah blah". and i'm sure that no one really wants to piss anyone off. (at least i hope they'd be that considerate). sweatdrop
