Is it better to sell items through the Marketplace or the Exchange?

Question for you pros out there:

Is it better to list items in the Marketplace or just try and sell them through the Exchange?

I never really use this account and am looking to clear my inventory of almost everything I own. It's nothing too special, but maybe someone will have better use of it than I will!

Exchange may take longer, but I'm pretty sure there's no tax, which takes quite a chunk out of huge sales.
