New Floating Footer (Instant Messaging) [UPDATE]

I think the footer would be more effective if it was put into a separate frame or something ~ I would like it to not refresh all my IM windows and such every time I click on a new link. XP

Edit: I think making it independent from the rest of Gaia would be great ~ I noticed a huge load-time increase while I was using the new footer. XP

I understand the necessity of having advertisements, and I have no idea if Gaia put it there or Meebo requires it there, but I find how the advertisement is initiated to be quite annoying.
You see, I'm on a Mac and whenever I go to click an application in my dock that's right above the advertisement, it activates and freezes Safari.

It would be much appreciated if the advertisement can be a "Click to watch the video" rather than a "Roll over to watch the video" ad. sweatdrop

I honestly find this a usefull tool....however....

1: the ad's are kinda anowing down there at the side of the bar
and i bet if you remove it, there be enuf programing to allow
people to add on more than only a few Tabs...then again because
it can be used on other places too, i suppose this cant be helped.
....but its still a bother...

2: I find the alearts bit is kinda useless, cause all you need to do
is log out and whatever you wrote there will be gone anyway...

3: What really makes me mad is that it completely replaces the
other bar, so now you cant see what others are doing and you
cant change your Quick Links bits unless you turn this off...
....no offence, but combine the two bars and make this tool
a bit more usefull and easy...

Google chrome and Safari both work, but someone mentioned the popup advertisement freezing safari, a little earlier today.

Well I like the concept but none of my friends are using it.

I do not like the fact that it does not tell what my friends are doing however like the current footer.
