Fading alerts feature

Which types of notifications would you like to see most?

Friend posts a forum topic	5.0%	[ 210 ]
Friend updates avatar/profile	3.7%	[ 154 ]
I get a pm from someone	25.3%	[ 1065 ]
Friend logs into site	21.1%	[ 890 ]
Someone replies to my topic	17.9%	[ 756 ]
Someone quotes me in forums	17.4%	[ 732 ]
these alerts are annoying, I don't need them	9.7%	[ 407 ]

I like it, especially (as mentioned before) when someone quotes you.

But if it were a little more compact it would be a more practical feature. Still, I'm all in for it.

I'd like it if I got alerts for replies on guild forum posts...

This is fantastic. Especially if we get it for people replying to our topics. Then we'll know if we're missing a glow and somebody bumped our aquarium thread, or if somebody is hanging out and talking in my charity and I'm missing it. LOVE IT!!!

If we could choose which alerts we ourselves send off (like profile thingy), it could be turned on and off if officially implimented, we could choose which ones we care about to recieve... Then I might use it. But for now, deactivation.

Something similar to the feed preferences page would be nice. :3

If we get a choice of what alerts we get, I might like it.
However, I just don't think the current alerts need fixing.

I was wondering why it wasn't working.... it would be great if it would tell us who quoted us in the forums,
but I really don't want all those other ones.

Besides, don't we already have a PM alert? =/

Do not make it notify every time someone logs in.
Some people log in and out constantly - switching windows - and that would be overkill spam of notifications.

Buggy, but I love it. Now when I post in my threads and people post back I wont have to check it by refreshing every minute. I'll see when they comment, post or reply. It's like my AIM. We already had it for the GIM with the window message next to your avi. This just enables me to focus more on my work and still know when people are replying. LOVE IT!

I wouldn't mind seeing something for the guilds. Not every time though, just once per guild until you check in with it. Everytime would be crazy. Though, I wouldn't mind it if I didn't have to go to my guild and count the number of posts to see if something new was posted.

It would be cool if they could alert you if someone posts something in the guilds you are in, because I am a really big role player and it would help if I knew when people replied to what when going between two different guilds. But that is just my opinion.

Its a good idea, though I think we should have options, like what you want to be notified by, ex: I wouldn't want to know every time a friend posts something in the forums, I'd get a notification like every 30 seconds. ><

That would make guilds more active.
