Brain is right, the bugs are harder to catch or find in the first place.

And remember you can collect flowers and trash at the same time. ^_^

For gathering gold, zOMG does give you a good deal while you'll killing off flamingos and lawn gnomes in Village Greens. Also, if you're fishing in Bass'ken Lake, you can sell whatever you catch that isn't a goldfish or guppy (or tire... or boot... or can...).

I gather mainly papers. Papers are the easiest to gather. only issue is Old Crumbled Newsprint, you need 50 of those and they are a pain to gather. Just spend a day skipping most other stuff and go hunting for those only. Saved me time and I gathered 100. But I spent a whole 2 hours finding them. It's really a pain.
I also bug people everywhere besides the exchange to donate their trash.

That's because old crumpled show up the best during the towns morning and evening times (something like 6-9am/pm on the towns clock). You'll know because the lighting will be goldish.

You can collect the bugs, too, if you've a mind. Sell them when you need more gold. Bugs are worth more as bugs than they are as ink.
