It's not really a big secret, but I guess some people just never notice. ^^;

The thing is, the Fail you sell back to Gaia is something that can be bought at the Bifrost. That is why it has the highest sellback value since Gaia considers it to be a "gold shop" item. Since it's available in the shop for 20k, its sellback value is 10k.

You can do the exact same thing with the Emerald Cache. Shark's Blood is available in the Bifrost for 10k, so its sellback value is 5k. People are listing the Emerald Caches on MP for about 3-4k. Smaller profit margins, though.

EDIT:
I don't recommend doing this with any other color caches, though. You can make more gold selling the color cache itself on MP.

I really hate dealing with the Market Place unless I have to... That's why I just sell back even If know it would be worth more...

This is an old typical issue about the "fake market" here on this site resembling the real life stock market way too closely. the value of the item is not the problem because initially if you take all the commercialism out fo the equation, all these cartoon items are absolutely equal in value regardless of who drew it or how they sell it to you. the true reality is that on this site the Cash shop ruined things like the alchemy event and much more. all these items on Gaia really are not valuable offline (not supposed to be anyhow but crime thrive where money is to be had)and even the alchemy items are not immune to this kind of market manipulation. the available formulae in bifrost ruined the value of the item you are attempting to create via a formula that WAS considered a rare item previous to that but that's how market manipulating is handled even online. I'm not saying tough luck, I'm saying there may not be a way to get back what you invest in. it's waste of effort. unless you really truly are not crafting items together for a profit and using the alchemy for an achievement and even then, you waste your energy on something that requires too much effort for too little pay. I hope this helps. bye for now.
