Back in Sept., 2012, it took me 50m and 5 months.
But that was before you could buy Philosopher's Caches and levelling bundles in the Bifrost, and before a $5 US purchase in the Cash Shop could get you 250m in Gaia gold. So... um.. er... yeah... my advice isn't very relevant these days. ^_^

If by ingredients, you mean Cash Shop items, then I'd advise against those.

If you don't mind sinking some gold here and there, you could craft alchemy components for experience, and re-sell them for a bit of gold. Thankfully, all craftable components only really require Cache components.

You need to check Lei Trigar's Ultimate Alchemy Formula Guide" and Zzyli's An Introduction to Alchemy. You can't do Alchemy without learning the Guides. I mean, okay, you can, but it's like banging your head into a brick wall until you find out that if you turn 90 degrees you can better get to where you want to go.

Sounds good, how long should it take me now to get from 2 to 10? There are some items I want to craft. And it seems like all of them require level 10.

It depends on how patient you are. If you don't mind burning gold, shouldn't take too long at all. With my leveling, I started from 3, and got to 10 in about 3 months or so. I was crafting Craftable components, too, but still lost a good bit of gold to crafting cost fails.

You can also try to craft things for other users, by creating an Alchemy Services Thread.

If you want to be good at Alchemy, you have to know how to sidestep those expensive components. You have to learn how to use the guides in this forum to focus on the formulas that are easier and cheaper to make, and in some cases how to get those expensive components for much less gold.

I'd advise you to bookmark what is essentially the Table of Contents for alchemy knowhow: The Alchemy Guide and Information Database.

Nice Suit's a rare formula, but it doesn't cost too much to craft, from what I've seen. You can grab it and the Wing Formulas from Alchemist's Cases.

As for the Wings... you're looking at a ballpark estimate of 1-5b, depending on if you collect the game items/furniture yourself, or buy them. Including any leveling ye will be most likely doing.

Yes, Lucifer's uses most of the same components to craft. The hardest things to get are the rare bugs, rare fish, and body dye.

Michael's wings requires Angelic furniture, Great Monarchs, Diamondback Lion, and white body dye. You just have to check the guides and see what is needed.
