When crafting in Level 2, you can still get XP from any Level 1 formulae, and there's quite a few of those which can be resold for profit (Orb Aggregate, Alchemist's Case etc.)
One of the important things you need to be successful in Alchemy is the ability to do reasearch and figure things out for yourself. There's a comprehensive list of formulae, and also a few guides which have suggestions about crafting, and it's definitely worth your time to look into them, and do some thinking for yourself about what you want to make.
Thanks for re-arranging my broken post. XD
Hmmm.. but the Case is so hard to make.
There's plenty of other options for you, though I think that the Case will net you the most gold for the least outlay (the only cost would be the fish bait (maybe, DC gives out a lot these days), the formula itself and the crafting costs). That's the basis of my recommendation, but it's up to you what you make! Whatever you used for Level 1 would see you through Level 2 just fine, but from Level 3 and up, you'll need to be making things of a higher level.
Really, the question you need to ask yourself with levelling up is 'what is my goal here?'. Some people want the fastest method, or the most profitable, or the one with the least outlay. These usually won't involve crafting the same things, as things which are easy are often expensive/have poor resale, and often the profitable items as you progress are more involved to craft.
If you're planning to work on wings or the Crown of Thrice, there's a few Level 1 bits and pieces which you could possibly craft for later for XP.
If you want my advice for levelling up in a few key points here it is
~Use the guides! There's heaps of them, and some of the legwork has been done for you (checking out this one is definitely a good start :3nod)
~Think! To get the most out of Alchemy, you need to decide what *you* want from the process and work towards that.
~Plan ahead! There's often things you can craft which can be used later on, especially if one of your Alchemy goals is large backwings
~Make the most of crafting services! Especially once you've cleared the first couple of levels, it's definitely worth having a crafting services thread/offering to make things for your friends, and it's also worth getting the community to help you. I got heaps of crafting XP from friends and fellow Alchemists levelling up, and I'm passing some of that onto other people now, so that aspiring Alchemists can get XP of their own.
Oh my you are a level 10. Hope i can wiggle my way through.. Thanks for talking to me! I'll be surely back for more questions!
You're very welcome. Best of luck!
Alchemy can be expensive and infuriating, but I know that I personally have found it quite rewarding. Feel free to ask me any questions, or post a thread in the forums if required. The regulars here are usually pretty nice and helpful. 3nodding
