I'm American, and I have been studying to become an interpreter/teacher, so the list is kind of extensive.

I can read, write and speak:
Japanese (quite a popular one, too)
French
Swedish
Norwegian
Greek (Hellenistic) <-- This unfortunately excludes modern Greek for now.
Latin
Old (West) Norse

I know some of:
Egyptian hieroglyphics (I can only read them and vaguely write them; I cannot pronounce them)
German
Dutch
Chinese (Mandarin)
Russian
Portugese
Italian
Spanish (Castilian)

I aim to learn:
ALL of them!
But in the near future. =P
Arabic
Sanskrit
Indonesian
Tagalog
Malay
Myanmar/Burmese
Danish

And many more! >3

WHAT. How do you have room for all of that in your brain?!
Plus, if you speak Swedish you might as well speak Danish, really xD
You should look up the song Drømmer Jeg by Johnny Deluxe. It's a Swedish/Danish blend of awesome.

As for me, ich kenne Deutche nicht so gut und hablo espanol un poco. (The only two classes offered at my school are Spanish& German)
I know how to say please and thanks in Greek biggrin and of course random tidbits of Japanese that could never actually form a conversation. Bakana!

Lots of time practicing. Lots of study, and lots of random conversation with a lot of people. You know what they say; after learning your first language, your second is easier, and from there, it just keeps getting better and better.
As for Danish, I know I should, but there are some quirks about it that I haven't quite wrapped my brain around. I suppose it should actually be in the second category. I didn't think about it. Bler. I can read it and (mostly) write it, but I can't speak it for beans without sounding Swedish. =P
Likewise, thanks for the recommendations. I will definitely look that up.
English, Filipino, Russian, and Spanish. rofl
i speak spanish (obviously xD) ,english,portuguese,korean, an a little bit japanese D;
I speak Danish because I'm from Denmark, though it's not always a guarantee that you speak the language if you come a certain country, I know a lot of Danish people that suck at speaking it correctly...
Anyways, I also speak English fluently(with a pseudo-British accent, lol) and German very well.
I understand Swedish and Norwegian a bit, because it's a bit similar to the Danish language, but I don't speak it.

I'm trying to learn myself Finnish because my grandma is from Finland and I find the language very beautiful.

And then I know some phrases and words from following languages: Japanese, Russian, French, Spanish and Italian.
User ImageUser ImageI'm American. I mostly speak English, but I also speak Spanish and French quite fluently. I know some Polish ('cause my mom's grandparents were from Poland, and they would sometimes speak Polish around me when I was very small), Japanese, Italian and German ('cause of an uncle of mine who was born in Germany)
