Ja, Es ist! I've had it before actually. Thanks to the world market. :]

my brother wants to sell german chocolate to the yanks to become a millionare.
oh and it's "Ja, ist es!"

OMG! I can't believe I missed that.

Not everyone likes chocolate though. D8 Might be because Hershey is fail compared to Milka.
Your brother wouldn't have to sell it to yanks because they already have access to it. lol
I would think German chocolate would have a better market here if it was commercialized more though. :/

Der würde es eh nie schaffen, dazu is er viel zu chaotisch

I feel so stupid now but, I didn't completely understand the first part of that sentence. sweatdrop

you don't need to feel stupid, it was my fault, i sometimes write in my bavarian dialect, although i try to not do this

Well, No I don't always understand the way things are worded in German. sweatdrop
Even if it was a different dialect.

Omgsh! I love German language and Germany itself! Why? I dunno, I just do! (: I plan to move there when I become a full teacher! [< Maybe... or Japan too, but oh wells...

Anyway,

Does anybody know anywhere where I can self teach myself to learn German? I was going to go to a college class, but ... it's ubber late. Starts at 9:00 PM - 11:00PM. Uuugh...

You love the German language and Germany itself because it's so awesome!!! 8D lol

Well, you could always take online classes or go to a local bookstore and get german language books. I'm not really sure what to say since you most likely wouldn't be able to learn how to say thing properly if learned by book. Do the college classes have different times for it?

!Impromptu!Banana!Party!
I take German 2 (as well as AP French and Latin 3) in my High school. I'm only on my second year, but I love the language! Only problem is that my German teacher is a good friend, and we both speak French, so I actually end up learning more French than German in that class... xd

Anyway, ich bin 17 Jahre alt, und ich wohne in Virginia. Ich glaube das ist Alles! (oder, das ist Alles das ich kann in Deutsch sagen...)

LOL Well it's always good to know french too!

Well at least you can introduce yourself, yes?

Heck yes it's awesome! :]

In the book store I found some stuff, but ... I felt like an idiot not pronouncing the right words. LOL. I don't know any online classes...Well since it's a new language being taught in my college and it's non-credit (sadsad!) I was advised not to take it. /swt

I still want to learn it! so sad!

Ling Yao. <3
I myself do not speak any dialect, yet I understand some, like the dialect from my hometown, from Hessen, from Cologne and Waeller.

The dialect from my hometown is very hard to understand, if you don't come from nearby. I was with my best friend in my hometown and we sat in the bus and some elderly women where talking about something and my friend asked me, what kind of language they do speak. I listened for a short while and said german. She looked at me and asked "German? That sounded to me like flemish."

First I didn't understand every word, they were talking about, but since I listened for some minutes, it was like in "The 13th Warrior", the fog of not understanding was lifted and I was able to interpret what they were talking about. XD

Which german dialect do you think is the hardest to understand? I think it's from Cologne.

Ich habe eine Bleistift!~

Would be "einen Bleistift". Because the Bleistift is male. I know it sound funny, I would better like it, if the articles were as easy as in english.^^

Besides Germany seems to be one of the few (or the only one?) countries, where the moon is male and the sun is female. In mostly every other language I know, it's that the sun is male and the moon is female.

"Even though there are getting more and more german threads opened it never becomes boring. I am like others of this thread from Germany. To be precise I am from Hamburg. I am quiet surprised that there are so many fans of my country and the people living here... will i get fans from being german too?"

Jeez please tell me if i have to translate my sentences anyways.. ^^
