Welcome to Gaia! ::

What's the furthest distance you've ever driven?
I'm asking because a girlfriend of mine wants to take a roadtrip from Illinois to Santiago, Chile.

It's a $1,000 trip there and back; approximately 12 days of driving, 10 hours of driving a day.

So;
share your experience with international roadtrips
advice, tips
Louisiana to Michigan. stopping off in Ohio for Ceder Point. 3 day car trip.

So...was it very expensive? Where did you sleep?
I went on a 10 hour drive to Canada once, but if you're doing a multiple day car ride, I'd say choose hotels that aren't far from the main route you're going. Hotels that are bed and breakfast are more worth your money and I recommend a cooler with beverages and any other food items you want in there as well as snacks for the road so you won't slow down or stop as much. The cooler can either be plugged in your car or in the hotel if necessary~ Hopefully this helps. xD;
From my country to Strasbourg in France in a bus.
I think it took about 12 hours +/-, can't remember exactly.
Sydney to Melbourne. Travelled by night, so I don't remember much. Just intensive headaches. Only about 10 hours. And the only time I'll ever do it. Might as well just fly. Much quicker.
