Welcome to Gaia! ::

I can't wait. Also I have a quick question. Does French have a dative case?

French does not really have cases. Of course it has subjects and objects, I mean, but there is no declension of nouns.

The only real thing you should worry about in French are the verb conjugations in different tenses.

Also, mind your grammatical gender. Anglophones usually have a hard time with this, as it is a foreign concept.

Like others have said, there are a lot of verb tenses and you should mind which one you use. There are 14 intransitive verbs which are conjugated differently in past tenses. Unfortunately, I can't remember all of them right now.
