I was born in France, I live there so I can tell you how French see American poeple :

- Fat
- Racists
- Violent armed poeple

French poeple doesn't really like America... It's changing a little with your new president but... not that much O.o

So tell me please, how do you see France ??

gonk
Well, I'm an American, & here's how I see France:
cleanest energy in the world,
super amazing pastries,
wine is their beer, (hey, people drink everywhere)
over-the-top-fancy,
"depending on the time of day the French go either way~" (though hey, it's just... more of a joke, here. Not sure if it's true or not.)

Other stereotypes I've heard about France though I don't believe (or at least it hasn't been proven right to me):
French people don't shave,
or take showers,
SOCIALIST! (though I know that's true, unless I've missed something big here),
hate us.

:C Guess that last one is true. Damn, & I was hoping to go to France one day because I love the language (don't know the language at all, though, just like listening to it,) & it seems like it'd be a really nice European trip to go on - around France, you know. Good thing I told the French guy I met in China that I was Canadian (I live in Michigan - it's close enough. xD )

Butbut... we're not all fat. Or racist. D: I'm fit, & definitely not racist. I punch racist people.

My family does own guns though, however that's 'cause my dad goes duck-hunting. Our "Thanksgiving turkey" turns out to be a duck (& it's so darn gooood.)

well I actually know a little about France, so my opinion is that French people have amazing accents, not all rude (just Parisians) and racially diverse

stereotypes: women don't shave ANYWHERE, they're all rude, and cowards

how do you view people from Texas?

Bible-thumping Baptists. Texas scares me.

U.S. has been done sooooo I'll skip to my state
Texas: racist (I am not...but yea idk how to prove it other than my culturally diverse group of friends)
homophobic (sorta true, I'm not, seeing as of how I'm bisexual...)
own horses (I've never even ridden on a horse...but I have seen plenty)
say y'all (AHHH!!! This one is true, but I HATE the word!! I yell at people who say it!)
have a "Texan" accent (I don't but I live in Houston soooooo it's not as bad here...)
missing teeth (that's more east Texas, close to Louisiana, and the area after San Antonio to El Paso, but only the old people really...)
stupid (ehh, not sure since I live in a rather smart area..)
Christian extremists (...more or less, depends on the person like most places, but I'm not even Christian so yeah...)
I don't know all of them, but please tell me more of them

Well I figure it would be cold for me since I live in the Southern U.S. xd but probably just in winter

Deal with it.

Aww. That makes me sad, since I'd really love to go to/live in France. ):

Most people in America see French as snobbish romantics, usually very full of themselves. Also sometimes rude. Also, cowards. How do I personally see it? I think it's an amazing country with a wonderful culture, and don't believe any of those stereotypes.

Previously known as TheFluffyElf.

Québécois ("French-Canadians" ) all want to separate.
Most definitely not true. Although there are many speratists, many are misinformed, and they give us a bad rep! mrgreen Most people are like me, very proud to be Québécois, but would rather stay a distinct society rather than become a country.

We speak the "ugly"/"funny" French.
Maybe that's just the French discriminating against us sometimes, but a dialect is a dialect! The difference between Québécois French and Français French is about the same, maybe slightly more marked than between American English and British English.

We drink a lot.
That might be true. mrgreen Well we do drink early on, earlier than the US or the ROC (rest-of-Canada), since the legal age is 18 (as opposed to 21 or 19). And we stay up late.

People are beautiful in Montreal.
Well...that's very true, what can I say! mrgreen

...I might have to get back to you on that!

''I am not the potter, nor the potter's wheel, but the potter's clay; is not the value of the shape attained as dependent upon the intrinsic worth of the clay as upon the wheel and the Master's skill?''

Lazy, stupid, ignorant, racists.... and yeah. I'm American. Now here's other things.
Nazis, Jew killers, cold hearted, serious, scary-Germans. psh.... I hate people that say that.
Irish-Drunks, Party animals- I'm not drunk but I like parties, who doesn't?
French-Snobby, stuck-up, airheads, annoying, bad tempers- France. NO COMMENT.
Scottish-Same as Irish.
English-Polite, snobby.... That's all I got from what people say to me.

So yes. Apparently, I should be a drunk(Irish, Scottish, French, German), snobby(French and English), coldhearted, serious, scary(German), and have a bad temper(French).

I hate stereotypes, it's so dumb like Americans! (lol just kidding)

France: Un c'est magnifique!!! The culture is quite rich. I wish I had a French accent. Or an Indian accent.
India (my origin country, I live in the US): We're all poor people who live in slums.
We all worship the Taj Mahal.
We're all enemies of Muslims.
We all are smart (that's not all the time true, but it's true for me. XD)
We're rural weirdos.
We're unsanitary.
.... (well that's it....) I have a regular american accent, slightly western, I live in Calif., maybe that's why...

I know some French, the accent is beautiful. I don't eat turkey or duck, or any meat for that matter. I'm a vegetarian. O.O

All Americans are fat, lazy, and ignorant. We eat MacDonalds and fast food constantly, we love country music, we're all right wing Christian extremists, we all have guns, and those of us who aren't country hicks are hollywood stars.

All New Yorkers are from NYC. WRONG. NYC suuuucks >.< (And thus all New Yorkers have that brooklyn-Long Island accent). WHAT ABOUT THE NORTH! DON'T FORGET US! crying crying crying WE'RE YOUR CAPITOL, EMPIRE STATE!

excuse me? i was born in NYC. NY is awesome. though now i no live there any more. and i agree with the accent thing, lol i never had the accent yet i used to live there for the most part of my life.
