I have tea and scones all the time, have full English breakfast every morning, I support my favourite football team, I live near London, I know the Queen, I probably know a guy you met three years ago 'cause he lives in England and 'cause it's so small everyone knows everyone else, it rains ALL the time, I have a posh accent, I have a lot of land, I have butlers and maids...
Some of those are true though... I do love tea... And my accent is on the posher side... =/
Also, my town is known for its chavs and has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the whole of Europe. So all teenagers are seen as scumbags and treated as such, fortunately I've stopped looking like a 14 year old recently so I get treated with more respect.
Haha I know what you mean about the 14 thing. I just turned 16 (still young) but people in the USA will ALWAYS treat you like a kid if you're even a WEEK younger than them. I'm rather petite in frame though I have a more mature face, so people either pass me off as 17 or 13. It's annoying........ Like if you're young you're always mistrusted and treated like you're stupid and can't do anything yourself or else "you'll steal something due to poor judgement or go get pregnant" or something.
I'd LOVE to have a British accent (the "TV kind" xD). I went to Germany and my host sister had a British girl over (she came the day before I left so I didn't get to know her too well, but she was really nice) and I LOVED her accent! It was really nice to have someone to speak english with (even though my host sisters were practically fluent, you knwo what I mean) and it was just really cool xD I was like "....SPEAK MORE! DON'T BE QUIET! I WANNA HEAR YOU SPEEAAAK" (of course I wasnt ACTUALLY like that XD)
Also my Uncle lives in England and has been for like 4-5 years, and he's developing an accent. It's half Long Island, half British so it's really funny! And his wife is British so she speaks like that, and HIS ADORABLE 2 YEAR OLD SON SPEAKS LIKE THAT TOO AND IT'S SO ADORABLE OMG OMG OMG *Spazz* haha... My point is that to many Americans (not just me) we really like British accents.
