deuteronomy [14 : 8]

Check? i got it from some source. Never touched the bible. Christians check if it's true.

It's an old Jewish law. Christians disregard the old Jewish laws.

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
Why?

Sex before marriage is forbidden too. did the christians disregard that too?

The entire Old Testament is null and void to Christians because of the whole Jesus thing.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all just the same religion essentially. The only real difference is that Christianity has a Messiah while Judaism and Islam do not. Islam has a few more prophets (Jesus and Mohammed included), while the jews do not believe Jesus or Mohammed were prophets.

Essentially, they all worship the same god. c:

As for the sex before marriage thing, no clue.

i'm not English so messiah in malay would probably sound different. Wutsa messiah?

The 'messiah' is, in Christianity and Judaism (I don't know the terminology for Islam so I won't say something I'm not sure about, such as whether or not the religion has/wants a messiah), the 'savior' who lead them to the promised land. Christians believe it was Jesus, though in Judaism they do not believe the messiah has come yet.

It really depends on the branch of Christianity and how attached people are to their beliefs. I can only speak for Mormonism and say that it's strictly prohibited and can be an excommunicable offense depending on circumstances and if the "offender" actually wants to change. Otherwise, I haven't had as much of a chance as I would like to research other religions, so I can't really say.

The reason Christians disregard a lot of the old Jewish law is because they believe that that Law of Moses was fulfilled with the death of Jesus Christ and that a higher law was enacted at that time.

I'll speak for United Methodists, and say that it is discouraged, but not to that extreme. Your pastor will likely look down on it, depending on the situation, but won't excommunicate you. We view the bible more as a book of lessons to live by than a cold, hard law.

Which is why we are kind of like the laid back Christians, as I have been told...
Not like the eccentric ones you see stereotyped on a daily basis.

Well, it doesn't always end in an excommunication. Like I said, it can be, but there are certain circumstances where it doesn't. For example, if you truly do not care and don't wish to repent or change, then you can be excommunicated, but if you regret your decision and want to make it right, then it usually doesn't.
