but I've been dating a Colombian for about two years now.

I was never attracted to him at first.. but I don't know, we kind of just work.
And now I'll see hispanic guys that I find to be really attractive.

So I guess it's normal?

I've always had a weakness for them. Colombians are fabulous. Love them. Is he actually an immigrant or is he second-gen? I find it really interesting how quickly immigrants become Americanized and stuff, and still retain some of their culture.. idk how to accurately word it. It's just really interesting stuff.

my family is huge too, and i have no idea who have the people are. its a weird family system, when we see each other we are all nice and stuff then after their gone the nails come out.

my family is really old fashion, they believe that the woman needs to have a man to support her. otherwise who will take care of her... grr not everyone gets married..

on the other hand i went to this korean website just to see tips on dating a korean guy and it didn't look good. basically you call the guy opa which means older brother in korean. he will take you out on dates and pay for everything but he will not open doors for you he goes first and when your married he'll be mean to you and you have to live up to the exspectations of his mother.

they are 2nd generation but you never know watch out for the mother if your dating a korean man...having an asian mother in law is like having a fox with razor sharp claws. she can be very demanding and proper....never ever let her see a dirty room or she will give you hell since she is probaly 1 st gen

Yeah, I'm generally not attracted to people of the same ethnic background as myself... Asians generally, but especially other Chinese. I've only dated Caucasians, except my last g/f, who's mixed (half-British and half-Japanese). I think the cultural difference is exciting to me.

My parents and especially my grandmother, encourage me to date other Chinese. But honestly, cultural and social aspects of Chinese or Chinese-Americans are too familiar to me, that I grew up with in my own family but never found appealing to me (like the way we gather for karaoke, seriously).
