International Penpals - Had one?

Any Gaians have a penpal?
I used to have one. We just stopped emailing each other. I think we changed emails and didn't tell each other or our conversation ran dry don't really remember. I got her as a pen pal cause it was my nanny's friends granddaugher. My nanny lives in Florida half the year and i live in England.

Do you ever consider it?
Getting a new one, sometimes.

Have you visited one?
No.

What are some of your experiences? Were they bad or good?
They were ok. Don't really remember.

What have they taught you?
Not much.

Why would you want one?
Dunno, may be interesting.

Hmm, I have an account on this language/culture exchange site. The idea is you chat, message, or whatever someone with your goal language or who has a culture you want to learn about .. I guess it's like penpalling. I learned a lot about cultures and really advanced my linguistic skills. I also taught some other people some English and about America.

Something related to people in different countries I noticed and that I love about this site was that we have so many people from different countries on Gaia.

And the thing is we don't even notice. Isn't it funny how we stereotype people and we're hanging out with them here?
