but it's around 8:00-9:00 am and ends around 2:30 (that doesn't include early dismissal days)
High schoolers usually have about 1-2 hr(s) per class each day with block schedule..but in my school we have 50 min per class and no block schedule. but my school isn't a public school. it's different from most schools in USA

Hmm, well, the bars are pretty strict, you need an ID to get alcohol; however, some people get fake IDs.

Most kids just get alcohol from their parents (whether their parents allow it or if they're stealing it). Some also buy it blackmarket from adults, I believe. I'm not entirely sure because I'm an abstinent kind of guy. x.x

Really, some kids drink but it's not a big thing. Pot and "pill popping" are bigger. Pretty much everyone I know do those. -_- This is in northeast Ohio, it might be different in other areas

I know that the drinking age for you guys there is 21 years old (That's correct, right?), but how likely is it for you guys to get illegal beer/alcohol at bars and pubs? Is the bars/pubs posture absolutely strict about drinking age or is there always some places where minors can buy alcohol without being pestered for ID and such?

Very unlikely, unless you're in college (yet underage) and you have a friend who's 21 or older buying beer/alcohol for you while you wait outside.

The bars are very strict about drinking age, I heard. I'm not at the legal age to drink (I'm only 19. However, my family aren't drinkers, so it's very, very unlikely that I'll drink either. Plus, I heard alcoholic beverages have a burning sensation, and I'd like to avoid the burning sensation), so I wouldn't really know.

There is NOWHERE where minors can buy alcohol without being pestered for ID. They can get a sip of alcohol, however, in religious settings (like church. Apparently, you can get a sip of wine no matter how old you are. In the Catholic Church, you just need to have gone through communion to get that sip of wine) and at home, your parents can allow you to have a tiny sip of alcohol, even though this is not a good idea.

To answer your high school question, everyone all over the country can start/end at different times and have less or more classes than another.
For me, school starts at 7:20am and ends at 2:00pm. I only have 6 periods a day, about an hour each, and then 30min lunch. I go to public school.

Automatic cars are much more common and all people buy them rich and poor.
My sister has a Jeep with manuel steering instead of power steering and stick shift.

I'm in University now but my old high school started at 7:30 and ended at 2.00pm. There are 8 classes 40 mins each.

I went to a public school in New York State.

depends where you go... I live in a college town so more people underage drink but in my hometown they pester a lot.
Everybody has a car... pretty much, most people don't even know how to drive manual, I'm not sure if there is a big price difference. I personally drive my Mom's old 2005 Saturn Ion, it's a manual transmission, so I feel pretty manly knowing how to drive it, lol!
School starts at 8:00 where I go.
Drinking age is pretty strict, but it's pretty easy to go to a party and drink free alcohol that someone else bought! Lol! I don't do that, but most of my friends do.

Thanks again for replies, guys. You're awesome.

Weird... here in Brazil just about anyone can go and buy alcohol, even though the drinking age is 18 and you shouldn't be able to buy any.
But clubs/pubs are strict about letting underage teens get IN. If you're not 18, you won't get in even if you cry.
But if you go to a bar where there's no entering fee or anything, and order a beer... they'll give it to you, no questions asked, even if you look 14.

For your school question...

As said above, it really depends on where you go to school and what type of school it is, but a person usually goes to school for about 7 hours a day.

My current school has its first classes at 7:00 and its last classes at 5:00, but most people don't go that long. Last year I started at 9:00 and got out at 5:00 or 4:00, depending on what day it was. This year I start at 8:00 and get out at 3:00. It all depends on the classes you need to take. This year I need to take less classes since I took a lot last year, so my schedule is shorter this year.

My brother's elementary school starts at 8:00 and gets out at 2:30, and my sister's middle school (grades 6-8 here) does the same thing.

If you are writing about highschool, sticking with 8-3 is the best choice. If you want to get more creative, you can have a school where the students maybe leave school earlier on some days and later on others because they have different classes, like I had last year.

---

The drinking age is enforced pretty well. Sometimes people's parents might let them have a little bit of wine or beer on special occasions though, and no one really minds. If your average teenager wanted a beer though, it might be a little tricky for them to get one if they didn't know the right people and if their parents objected (which they probably would in many cases.)
Yes, underage drinking is pretty strict and yet there are a lot of teens getting drunk.

For instance, there was a party at my ex's house and his parents are heavy drinkers so of course there was plenty of alcohol. Me, my ex and my ex's friend were all underage, but everyone was totally okay with us drinking.

So yeah. Older friends, parents, or older siblings usually provide the alcohol even though it's still illegal.
Hardly anyone owns a stick. Everyone I know owns automatic, and most people can't even drive stick.

High school starts at 14. And I believe time varies depending on the school, though I wouldn't know (homeschooled).

Most places are pretty strict about drinking, but some will let you drink without an ID if you have an adult with you, or if you look older and can cheat the system.

Since you been gone
I can do what I like
But it doesn't mean a lot to me
I'm all shook up...

My high school that I currently attend is a Catholic school and here things work like this:

Homeroom begins at 7:55 AM and ends at 8:15 AM. There are 3 minutes between classes, and there are 8 periods total. 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th periods are lunch periods. We aren't allowed to leave school for lunch. Seniors are only allowed 7 periods, including lunch, and they are allowed to leave at 1:30 PM. Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen get out after 8th period, which ends at 2:15 PM.
Fridays, we get out earlier due to teachers' meetings. For Seniors, it's 12:55 PM, and for everyone else it's 1:30 PM.

...and I'm lonesome tonight
I think I need a love lobotomy
but I'll get by without your smile
I'll get through without you.
