Welcome to Gaia! ::

I want to immerse myself into many other cultures and learn about the world outside of my room window -_-. I cannot travel so this is one of the only ways I can experience the world! Please tell me your name and where you are from. Also, something interesting about your culture would be nice! biggrin

My name is Ashleigh! My parents are Jamaican! Something interesting about my culture...if you say "beer can" with a British accent, it sounds similar to "bacon" in patois lol...kinda
I guess no one is interested. cry

I'm Nicole. I'm first generation Vincentian-Canadian ^_^

Don't know what I want to say about Vincentian culture, but I don't know if I would need to, since it's similar to yours biggrin

Tidbits about Canada: Toronto's PATH is the largest underground shopping complex in the world, Young St. in Ontario is the longest street in the world, and we have our own lingo for ordering coffee. An example being double-double (two cream, two sugar).

I find I draw blanks when asked questions like this. This is the only thing I can think of neutral

Hello Nicole! Our cultures are pretty similar! I had no idea Canada had that stuff! Have you ever walked the entire shopping complex? (btw I'm a 1st generation too. I should have mentioned that)

Pretty good. I'm looking through twitter and you tube, so I'm bored.

I haven't, but I would like to. I think Edmonton, AB has the largest mall in Canada as well ( I don't think it's largest in the world, but I could be wrong)

After my finals were over I found myself in that mood too until I started watching dramas. You should watch one to cure the boredom.

It must be heaven in that place if you have a lot of money and time. I would love to visit now! Have you been to many places outside of Canada?

I've been to Detroit and St. Vincent once. That's it. I haven't even traveled outside of Ontario. Other than some cities within the GTA, I've been to Sudbury for school. It's not fun there, lol. What about you?
