Hurray for objectifying an ethnic group! A poorly defined ethnic group at that! Yaaaaaaay!

If you love "Asians," does that include Indians and Pakistanis? How about people from Kazakhstan? Iraq and Iran are Asian countries too, do they get Asian love? Are Sri Lankans awesome too?

I bet'cha a lot of you only love Asians from East Asia. xp Asians aren't just Chinese, Korean and Japanese, just in case you didn't know.

My mother is han chinese. That's for sure since her mother's grandparents came from china and today her grandmother's extended family is still residing in china. My mom was born overseas in cambodia but she never considered herself cambodian b/c her parents always stressed to her they were only living in someone else's country. My dad is hakka, which is a subgroup of the han chinese people. That means his ancestors were originally han chinese (which means an ethnic group that is naive to china). It is believed the hakkas migrated out of china and into other places centuries ago but nothing is really proven.
I don't know if i consider myself han chinese ... like i don't feel like i have much of a connection with china. that and plus i don't even use the same writing system as china. yeah, i can read, write, and speak mandarin chinese but i use traditional characters not the simplified characters china uses. i feel i am more connected toward my dad's side of the family because i've actually been more exposed to his cultural background and language linguistics. that and the fact i see his family more often than i see my mom's relatives.
