Yeah, I'm a teacher.

Cost can vary.... Mine is 530,000 won a month which is like $430, but my school pays for it. It's a pretty small place though. The big expense is the key money payment (like a security deposit) which is around 1 million won or more ($809+). You get that back at the end of the contract (minus any damage costs). Utilities are SUPER cheap though.

6 months. My Korean ability is very low. I can read and I can understand/say some things, but I have a LONG way to go....

I don't really go grocery shopping. I buy fruits and vegetables to eat at home, but my kitchenette is just a single burner so it's very inconvenient and time-consuming for me to cook. It's just so cheap to eat out.
