I haven't been to Korea but my friend went when she was younger. She told me if I ever go, to should visit the 38th parallel demilitarized zone and (she didn't get to do this) take a tour of one of the tunnels the North Koreans dug when they tried to invade Seoul. She said the DMZ was very creepy though and I imagine the tunnel is even scarier.

I don't know much about those colleges, but I've been on the campuses of other colleges and they've all been pretty nice.

There are also a lot of festivals and events that the schools have. I just went to an amateur singing group's concert and it was a lot of fun. That was at Hongik University, and the area it's in was having a huge festival that day. Also, the beginning of the summer is the college festival time. All the colleges have them.

As far as living in Seoul, it's very easy to get around via subway/train, and there are lots of places to go. Compared to other countries it can get a little monotonous, but I've always found something entertaining to do smile Also, everything is CHEAP. Except for produce.... but I don't mind paying $1(USD) for an apple when I can get a ton of other things a LOT cheaper than in the states.
