I don't know how to word the topic, lol. sweatdrop

But anyway, what stereotypes do parents of your race/ethnicity face? Since I have Asian parents (Vietnamese), I've seen and heard of a lot of stereotypes about them, such as:

-they beat their kids if they don't get A+ (okay, I knew this one Vietnamese girl whose parents would yell at her even if she got something as miniscule as an A- or a plain A @_@)
-they don't let their children hang out with their friends after school
-they try to choose their children's friends for them
-they want their kids to marry into a super-rich family. If they're not rich, they must have enough money to buy a house that can fit enough guests to sleep over on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
-when children introduce their friends, they fire away stupid questions that will make them run away.
-they force their kids to play an instrument
-they will reject your bf/gf if he/she doesn't appeal to them or meet their standards
-they expect you to speak to them in their native language

My mom never did any of these.
