I think its silly for any children not to learn about other cultures. Its half the world's misunderstandings cause no one knows about the other.

Back in my 3rd grade we had to have a family member come in and do a presentation on one of our heritage countries and bring in food from it. That was when I first learned I was primarily Norwegian.

That was when I first learned I was primarily Norwegian. We did that, too! And then we made a cookbook out of all the food people brought in. As a multiracial child, I haven't really gotten a lot of knowledge of either sides of my family, so sometimes people will ask me what it's like to be multiracial and I just don't know. Because of this, I used to want to be an Indian when I grew up. (Native American) Now I want to be a cultural anthropologist. |
