Welcome to Gaia! ::

Thank you so much Morikko! I am trying to teach myself Japanese as well. It's hard, but I'm trying to make good studying habits. I was thinking on buying a Japanese textbook, but I didn't know what was a good one so I will take your options into consideration. smile Again, thank you!

And I looked up the Japanese lol(w) and I always wondered what the w was because they were in so many Japanese comic strips. xD
一週間前?! すごーーい・・・ありえないよ!

    日本語の3年間を勉強しますだけど、まだ話しているそして打てるがよろしくない。煩わしいよ。理解がもうよろしいです。
(I've been studying Japanese for three years, but I'm still not good at speaking and typing it. It's annoying. I'm better at understanding it.)

Did I even do that right? I really, really suck at speaking it, but I'm quite good at reading and listening to it. It's really annoying that I can't speak/type it right. Does anyone know any good ways to learn how to speak/type it better?

Talk to Japanese people and ask them to correct you. ^---^
I also recommend the website, "Lang-8". On there, you can write up blog enteries in Japanese, and natives will correct it for you. Through that, you can also make many Japanese friends who are willing to chat! :] Especially on skype. smile

I'm not brilliant at Japanese myself but I would write what you wrote like this:
私は3年間ぐらい日本語を勉強していますが、まだ話すことと打つことは上手ではありません。うるさいですよ。日本語が分かるの方が上手です。

Hmm! I found the two textbooks I bought to start me learning Japanese and I forgot how
helpful they were. 8D I sort of gave up on them...

Haha, I frequently come across mine. :') I still use them from time to time, absolute gold mines of information. ^_^

私は3年間ぐらい日本語を勉強していますが、まだ話すことと打つことは上手ではありません。うるさいですよ。日本語が分かるの方が上手です。

Two quick pointers:

うるさい doesn't fit with what the person is trying to say. It only carries the meaning of annoying when the annoyance is something loud and obnoxious. In this case, もどかしい is more appropriate.

When a verb modifies 方, it is left in the plain form. の is unnecessary.

If I were to translate what this person wanted to say (taking into account what they had written in English as an explanation below the Japanese text), this is what I'd do with it:

私は3年間ぐらい日本語を勉強しています。聴解と読解の方がましですが、会話と筆記がまだまだ上手じゃありません。ちょっともどかしいですよ。

Trans: I've been studying Japanese for about three years. I'm still not good at conversation and writing despite being more able to understand it (listening/reading). It's annoying.
