I was reading about the name posts regarding kanji, and one of the teachers at my school (I'm going to school in Japan right now) said that it's not actually your name that has certain kanji because it means something, but rather it's the kanji that gives your name a meaning. You can have a name that isn't really a word, but the kanji put together can mean something (or you can have two different words in your name). It's kind of hard to explain, haha.

My friend decided the Kanji for my name, and it's 八幡　滋奈.
Coincidentally, my last name is pronounced the same way as the city that my school is in, so she just used the kanji for the city. XD And for the first name, the first kanji is the "shi" in Shiga (the prefecture I'm in), but it can also be read as "ji" (which it is for the case of my name). The second kanji is the "na" in Nara. XD So, pretty much, my name is like constructed from labels on the map (it doesn't really mean anything).

But no, my name is not actually Jina. XD It's Zena, but yeah, they don't have that whole ZEE sound, haha.
