I suppose taking the literal meaning of your name and finding out what it means in Japanese? Some of my Japanese friends call me 翡翠 for jokes... xD

.... my name would be : 王冠... doesnt that sound kinda rude?

'ppose so. Stick with a katakana name to be honest. XD I usually stick to ジェイド

my chinese name is 蒂文.

ohhh then maybe use the japanese pronunciation of that? That's an idea! Haha. I suck at kanji btw so I dunno what that'd be in Japanese... sweatdrop

Aww, I'd sound really pompous, then. Because for some reason
my name usually translated to "home ruler" or something similar.

In them cases, I guess it's best to stick with katakana names, haha. Or unless you want to adopt a Japanese name... (;
Hey, katakana names are cute so, it's not all bad! Haha.

Maybe I should adopt a Japanese name or something then... I don't like the
katakana for my name. ハリエット... people keep thinking my name is
"Harieshito" rather than how the katakana translates to "Harietto".
