Carolling and Lights?

I don't know if this is relevent but ever since I made my house huge, I can't seem to go carolling to collect the holly any more and the lights in my house do not come on during the night?
I did both before, but no more???

cleared the room and redid, the lights are again working at night

but

also found I still can't carol and can't go up either, omg
