Whatever you feel like it. If you want to make more than one and let the rest of the guild decide, that would work. If anyone else wants to make one, we could choose two or three and let people have their choice on which one to use.

I'll get to work on one... I have a good idea or two.
One is kinda like a coat of arms.. it looks reallly cool in my head xd Something to think about: What really makes a geek? Is it the messy hair or the glasses? WHat truly qualifies one as a "geek"? To me it is someone who just cant stop rambling on about silly things and gets overly exited about things like video games... Example: Theyve started up Magic 3000!!! OMGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! IM gonna die. Did you know that magic.... magic................. magic though a super smart, pencil pusher with a pocket protector, 300 pens, and a calculator in one of his collared shirt pockets does strike me as nerdy and geeky... but its not the only thing... |

well, personally i think a geek is more like a person that specializes in one area, like...did you ever see that game show on comedy central? Beat the Geeks? They had like four geeks, the main three were the movie geek, the music geek, and the tv geek, then they had a special guest geek like the comic book geek lol So yeah, that's what geek means to me, if that makes sense. xd

Anywho, to me a geek is someone is a bit oddly obssessed with things the rest of society doesnt quite understand. Example, Magic cards. Some are nerdy as well, some may even be intellegent. What makes me a geek? I love Monty Python. I adore certain animes, often times ones other geeks dont even like. While I dont play video games, I love to sit and watch other people play. I'm a total nerd, as well. I believe part of what makes one a geek, also, is a sort of seperation from mainstream society during the younger years. Take me for example- as a little kid, I had super short hair, huge glasses, and I often wore my older brothers hand me downs. I was even mistaken as a little boy several times in grade school. I didnt have friends my age. Still dont, for that matter. Most of my friends are older than I by several years. I think this pre-existing seperation from society allows one to form interests without worrying about what ones peers will say. Ergo, these interests are often a bit.. out there. I'm a geek, cause well.... hell, I wrote this, didnt I? |

Mainly, seperation from the ignorant masses, (sorry I hold no love for the ken and barbie of society), and the obsession with things that most of society doesn't care about. I believe most people have a little 'geek' in them. I'm sure whatever design you come up with for the banner will be wonderful. I mean it will be better then nothing. Right now I need sleep, but tomorrow I'll see about drawing up some ideas and posting them. Oh and I'm going to Rave Theater for Starwars Ep. 3. (too many conversations and only one thread sheesh) |

This whole defining a geek thing makes my head hurt lol.
As for the Soul Caliber discussion (jumping in here cuz I play too), I have always been (and always will be) a Sophitia fan. (though I prolly spelled that wrong.) I also like Xianghau. (I think I spelled that one wrong too lol. . . my spelling is off today.) Of course I totally rape people with Talim. blaugh No one is at the table right now! Waaaaahhhh. . . Cassie, I'm all alone! Robyn, let me know as soon as you can about my b-day party, okies? |

Geekness: one who is not mainstream, and has no desire to be. I like being "weird", "freak" and "geek" it makes me me. Yea it could be in just one area, like computers or magic. i agree with Cassie. Prob also has something to do with when we were younger. I was the outcasts of outcasts then. No real true friends till high school when i met my first boyfriend. And that stereoytpical image of hte geek (big glasses, pocket protector, etc) is just an annoyance. Yes, I wear glasses, but they are small and cute. I dress to be cute and sexy. My friend jackie has dubbed people like me geek-sexual: one who is attracted to long hair, glasses, etc. Shes right, just look at my current boyfriend (though my ex goes against that). And I think my bf is quite sexy. Any other geek-sexuals?
