Our ex-pirate captain got a gig playing one of the bad guys in the Robin Hood show, and has gotten volunteer jobs for any of us who were in the area. I'm always missing the height of faire season and it's not fair! My dad tried to console me by saying that it was going to be raining today, but I told him that rain just makes a faire more accurate... and besides, we run an October faire, we're used to worse than a little rain. |

AWESOME!!! I heart renaissance fairs! I have not been to one in years. One of my friends in highschool worked at one every summer. hmmm . . . Maybe I should plan a trip and get all sorts of crazy pics to show my family hahahah anything to freak them out. As for Cos play convention thingies, my brother's friends do that and one of my roommates in first year (uni) went to one. ah the opportunities for dorkdom are infinite lol

My mom's side is freaked out by it. Dad's side thinks its cool. Same with belly dancing.
My parents are fine with it (3 of us kids are very much into it. The 4th is starting to get into it now). If not, they would be in trouble. Especially since Derek and my wedding is medieval themed. My parents have both laced me into a corset before. My mom worries about my "chest" coming out but I assure her they aren't going anywhere. Nothing laced in that tightly is going anywhere. Nice thing about corsets is watching the hourglass fiigure appear. I should be getting my custom made bodice pretty soon. It's been almost a month since I ordered it. Just got back from seeing "The Dark Knight". Officially the BEST Batman movie ever made. Seriously. Best Sequel, best...well, my hubby says best movie period. LOVED it. I actually missed the first 45 minutes because my daughter tends to get noisy/squirmy and I didn't want us to get kicked out of the theater (It's happened before because of my son. Seems some people don't like kids under about 5 in theaters...>.> wink . However, eventually she gave up and fell asleep, so I got to see the rest. It freaking rox my sox. <3

I should see it, but my flu more or less killed my social life (and my wallet) over the weekend. Will make effort to watch it later this week, there should be less people around.

It freaking rox my sox. <3 It did, oh my god, the most perfect Joker EVER! How they portrayed his super sanity was exquisite and perfectly portrayed on the big screen! Two-face worked out well to . . . but no where near to what they did with the Joker. I was never a fan of Christian Bale as Batman, though . . . He just didn't . . . Feel right with being Bruce Wayne/Batman . . . Heath Ledger did a miracle for the movie, though. Indubitably, the best sequel to a movie I've seen so far in my life, (the worst was swamp thing 2 *squirms*). Oh, and my account got hacked! Fun! No more swords . . . *sniffle* |
