The Table- a geek guild

'Ello and welcome to the Table. For those of you who don't know, The Table (also refered to as the gt) is a huge strand of tables that were shoved together at a local univeristy so a huge number of people could eat, talk, and play Magic. The guild spawned from the wonder that is the Table at UC. However, there are always more Magic players, anime fans, and other such odd balls out there. Basically, we are a guild for the geeks of the world. Come join the insanity.

Rules
Nonsense conversations tend to be the best kind, and thus they are encouraged. However, there are a few rules for this bit of sanctuary. the rules are all here to make it easier for all of us to read and enjoy. If you want an explination as to why a rule exists, pm me.
1) no leet- at least in excess- and if you feel you must use it, please provide a translation. We may be geeks, but not all of use read leet.

2) no horrid grammar/spelling. Not asking for perfection, just make it readable.

3) no excessive quotes. Cut stuff out if it becomes to long. No more than 4 quotes in one post (quotes within quotes count as well).

4) NO CUSSING- at all. If you can change the word to the extent where a 12 or 13 year old mostly would not get it, thats fine. If your really angry or whatever, make up a word. I will delete posts with cussing in them and issue a warning. Two warnings, and its probation. Two more warnings, and your black listed for one week.

5) no excessive conversations between two people- if a convo goes on for a half page between only two people, take it to pms!

6) No arguements within the thread. Especially couple stuff. Take it elsewhere- I dont want to hear/read it.

7) generally, adhere to gaias rules

Why you choose to join the guild: Because I'm one of the founding members, oh and I play Magic and stuff.
What makes you a nerd: (Hang in there this could take a bit)
I play Magic. I play Dungeons and Dragons. I play Video Games. I had good grades in high school (except in english which is notable). I wear glasses. (contact now but glasses still count) I like Starwars. I like Startrek. I like Fantasy. I like Sci-Fi. I can watch the discovery channel for hours. (I don't but I could razz ) I'm a computer junkie. I know more random facts then a person should rightfully know, but still can't compare to some of you other geeks. I can read binary, Octal(sp), and Hex. I have programmed a video game in Machine Code, and it ran. I can't talk to people and my english and grammer is horrible razz . (not entirely true but mostly) I have run calculations of a Fry Box (from Mr. Jim's) sliding across the table, because I was bored, and Physic Test was that evening. I can read l33t, though I only use it in my screen name as a joke. I have turned down sex to play a game... oh wait no that never happened razz . (stab at other more uber geeks then me) I know where uber came from. I have a server and personal network at my house that more then just my family that have personal accounts. I run an Anime Rental Service out of my house (I doubt I have anything most of you want but I have a whole string of customers outside of anime club) I actually go to Animeclub to watch anime. (now it's just a competition of who is more geek) I was in boy scouts. I am an Eagle Scout. I have an account on Gaia Online.
