I think I did.. no wait.. sorry, one time in English class, we had a list of books we could choose from, but the teacher said to Ignore the list and we would only do "The Giver" but I noticed that there was a book on the list I had read before (Did I mention this was an online English class) and she said it was alright.

I don't think I did it though... I forget XD

Oh, goodness, not the Giver. That is a horrible book. And I usually love the whole theme of "dystopia future," which essientally that book was.

@Cait: Thankies. But I will manage somehow.

The Giver was okay. Not the best, not the worst.

No, it was bad. The more the main character understands, the worse things become. His story is dismal, and he just dies in the end. At least 1984 showed something more unique.

The plot of the story was dismal yes, but the novel itself was not bad.

I've never read 1984, so I can't comment on that one.

To each their own, I guess.

And you should check out 1984. I guess it is just as dismal, but I just liked the way it was written. And besides, big brother is watching you.

I do not have time to read books for fun during the semester...perchance once my winter break starts, I will meander over to the library.

Yes, once you can, pick it up, along with Brave New World if you get a chance.

I've just come to the conclusion that schoolteachers hate utopia, as all three books I've mentioned hate it to.

Now we shall fight like men. And Ladies!
And ladies who dress like men!

Vote for the X-Naut, or he will take your Crystal Star.
Hm. I was about to protest your generalization, as I'm in college to become a teacher....but I'm not really a fan of utopia either.

Cause in the daylight, anywhere feels like home.
