 MK: Announcements September 14, 2009- Actor Patrick Swayze finally succumbs to pancreatic cancer. 2009 has sucked for famous people. September 9, 2009- The Sega Dreamcast's launch date was ten years ago this day. Cue a bittersweet and slightly angry Mooo monologue about underappreciation and "Sony's lies." June 25, 2009- Fallen American music legend Michael Jackson passes away at 50. Also, '70s sex symbol Farrah Fawcett and TV show host Ed McMahon pass away on a very sad day for the entertainment industry. May 16, 2009- Longtime MK alum Se-vens graduates with a BA. Jokes about his financial prowess to follow. May 4, 2009- Comedy legend Dom DeLuise passes away. Pizza the Hutt has fallen. February 17, 2009- Street Fighter IV is released, marking the return of a dying genre. February 5, 2009- Family Guy turns ten. Frat boys rejoice. January 29, 2009- Helio Gracie, inventor of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, goes on to his next big challenge: trying to choke out God. Rest in peace, Grandmaster Helio. January 20, 2009, Inauguration Day- Celebrate, for America becomes respectable again. January 14, 2009- Ricardo Montalban has passed away. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Behold, folks... the Mortal Kombat thread. Tons of pages of murder, mayhem, epic battle, backstabbing of teammates, forbidden love, and pure, unadulterated hilarity. This is not an RP guild, nor is it a guild dedicated to any particular interest--we are a refugee Hangout Thread, the only one that hasn't retreated to GGN and still open for anybody to come and join. Keep in mind that MK is a long-running community, so don't expect to pop in here and say hello and be showered with praise, unless of course you happen to be Skilled Roleplayer, who is a model of excellent online community behavior. Conversation changes often--although video games, anime/manga, and movies are regular topics, they are not all we talk about, so be prepared for anything, and be prepared to be met with a resounding douchebag "meh" if nobody has anything to reply to you with.
