Role Player's Paradise
User Image

Role Player's Paradise is a guild of general role playing. All role plays of all genres are welcomed and allowed, no matter if it's action, romance, comedy, adventure, mystery, fantasy, serious, or anything else. If you wish to join, simply send in a request asking to do so. There's a 110% chance you'll be accepted in.

Some things to know prior to joining: This is a semi-literate to role play guild, at the minimum (those who are above semi-lit are still welcomed and encouraged to join). While Role Player's Paradise does welcome those who are new to role playing, there are some standards. There's also shenanigans, idiocy, common doses of the psychosis, lots of insanity, and the Guild Captain is always up for maiming the French.
And on a more serious note, there is a 500 gold joining fee. Role Player's Paradise has had a constant issue of people joining, and yet doing nothing. So, to prevent these people from joining and getting people who are a bit more serious we have this small fee. Don't worry about it if you really wish to join. 500 gold is easy to regain with a few posts.
What we're here for

At Role Player's Paradise (also known simply as RPP), we take in any kind of role play you can think of, without a complicated and huge list of genre specific sub forums. In fact, our sub forums are fairly simple and easy to understand and follow.

Public Role Play Area - If your role play is open for anyone to join, this is where it goes. If you have a certain literacy level preference (like if only wanted very literate people), it would still go here. For instances like that, you just need to add that note to your rules.
Private Role Play Area - If you want a small party of specific role players, your role play goes here. Please note, this is not where you put small group role plays. Private role plays means the players were invited to join, not they applied and were accepted.
Finished Role Plays and Archives - Once a role play has come to a close, whether it stopped because the story ended or the role play died off, they are moved here. After being moved, role plays are locked to prevent posting. Members are free to come here and read through older role plays. Also, if find something special and notable within a role play, either for badassery, hilarity, or shocking/touching, there are archives to talk and share these posts/moments and help give them the recognition they deserve.
Art, Literature, Pictures - If you have a piece of work, whether it's a drawing, painting, picture, words, or whatever, it can be shared here.
Games, Contests, and Spam - Not everyone wants to just role play and chat all the time, so that's why RPP also has fun games like The Blame Game, Corrupt A Wish, In My Pants/Bed. Of course, if you have another game you wish to play, all members are free to post! Just be sure not to repost and existing game. All members are also welcome to hold contests of any kind, regardless if one similar to their contest is going on or not. And because we need to make nonsense posts, either just because or we're working on a posting format, spam related threads go here as well.
The Crew Section - This is where the hard working Crew of RPP go for their own purposes. Reports are discussed and decisions are made here. Beyond that, nothing more can be said as the Crew section is meant to secret to the others as they need their privacy from the others.
Tutoring Section - Because we all struggle and thrive in certain places. If you need assistance, or want to provide help, this is the place to go. Any and all elements can be taught and learned from here. However, this isn't your classroom either, so don't expect Algebra-Trig lessons.
Role Plays in Construction - If you have a role play idea, this is the place to write it out. That way, any role plays that haven't technically started don't fill up the forums. Once a role play is ready to start, moderators will move the role play to the creator's desired forum.
The Rules of Role Player's Paradise

It should go without explanation, that Role Player's Paradise not only abides by GaiaOnline's Terms of Service, but also enforces the ToS if any of the terms are broken by a guild member within the guild. Unlike guild rules, there are no second chances. A violation of the ToS is extremely frowned upon and shall be dealt with accordingly.

Looking past the ToS, there are only a few simple guild rules within Role Player's Paradise. Please note, that these rules must be followed at all times within the guild, regardless of any given role play's rules. Seeing how the guild harbors the role plays, it is 'higher ranked' so to say, so the guild rules hold more importance than any other rule written down within the role plays.

Rule 1: Listen to the Captain, Vice Captain(s), and Crew Member(s) and treat them with respect.

Rule 2: Don't be rude, to anyone. This including flaming and trolling against other members of the guild.

Rule 3: The guild follows a semi-literate code. This means that players write out full and complete sentences, with passable grammar and spelling. Literacy levels may vary between role plays, but the guild standard is semi-literate.

Rule 4: Use basic English when speaking with another person. l33t speech is highly discouraged as it is hard for some people to understand, and can be very annoying and frustrating for those who don't understand.

Rule 5: Do not advertise another guild or website within the guild.
Note, if you wish to create a guild alliance this does not count as advertising, as it's a mutual agreement to help the two guilds grow. Posting in threads with links and instructions to follow the link and join the guild, or making a thread solely for the purpose of getting attention on your guild, is advertising.

Rule 6: Enjoy your time here, have fun, and relax. We all have our reasons to role play, so let's keep them positive.
The Guidelines of Role Player's Paradise

Role Player's Paradise handles rule breaking and violations in a three-strike system. If a member is reported breaking the rules on three separate occasions, whether it's a guild rule or a role play rule, they shall be punished accordingly.

The idea and system is fair and simple, but the works of it are a bit complicated.

When a guild member is reported for breaking a rule, the report is then reviewed by moderators. Depending on the severity of the break, the report may count as one whole strike, or only a portion of a strike (portions are broken in thirds; they can be 1/3 or 2/3). When a member has a total of three strikes against them, they are punished with a probation period.

When a member is put on probation, they are removed from the guild for a certain amount of time. How long the probation last depends on if the member has or hasn't been on probation before. After probation, a guild invitation is sent to the member to allow them back in if they so choose to return. If a member does return, and ends up on probation again, their next probation period will be more the previous.

Should a member end up with three more strikes against them after having three probation periods, they will be automatically punished with a ban from Role Player's Paradise. In turn, bans can be challenged either by a supporting member or by the banned member. Pleas can be made to the moderators, who shall review the case. Should the ban be lifted, the returning member must not break any further rules or else they shall be banned again immediately upon the first rule break. Again, a case can pleaded for their return, and they may be accepted under the same terms. However, if they break yet another rule and end up being banned for a third time, the ban will be permanent. No pleas, arguments, or demands will uplift a permanent ban.

Bans that can be argued against have three chances to be uplifted. With each new attempt, a new argument must be made, alongside the older arguments. If a ban is not uplifted after the third case, it stays permanent, regardless of any further arguments found and made.

Probation Time Periods
1st Probation 1 Week
2nd Probation 2 Weeks
3rd Probation 4 Weeks
The Role Player's Paradise Community

As of right now, Role Player's Paradise currently holds 47 members, and we are and always will be gladly accepting more people into our guild. The lists below us will show the active Crew who are available to you for aid, and active members who have recently posted. Note, this does not include ALL our members.

The Crew
Zahzi Captain
Randomly Gone Insane Vice Captain
Kanisaga_Sanza Vice Captain
Burrito Paradise Guardian - Crew

The Members
SoujiAtsumi
Lord Redtail Rathan
cptflint
Sielent
madametrixie

In order to preserve guild funds, Role Player's Paradise will do a monthly removal of inactive members. Not only does this show our actual active members, the 'true' community if you will, but it also prevents extra gold from being spent on announcements because it needs to go to inactive members.
Before there's a monthly removal a guild announcement will always be sent at least one week prior to the day of the removal. The time of removal may or may not happen one week later from the announcement, and the day which is happens is never announced. This is to prevent people from scrambling on the last day to save themselves.

In order to ensure active members, Role Player's Paradise now has a 500 gold joining fee. This is make people reconsider joining, and to install some want to post and become active as they had given up money to be apart of the guild.
Our Current Stories

Role plays come and go as time goes by. Be sure to check back to this post if you're searching for a role play, as the list will change from time to time! And please note there are many other role plays besides the ones listed below! Some role plays are still in the Construction forum, which are not shown here. They are shown in the next following post.
If you're a member of Role Player's Paradise and would like your role play to be listed here, please send me a private message. If your role play is complete (that means everything is written out and you're not working on it anymore), give me a brief summary of the main storyline, the status of the role play (has it begun, or is it waiting to start?), and possible roles people can take within the role play.

Crack, Guns, Sex, and Other Fun Things
A role play loosely based of the TV series, Venture Brothers.
Crime is a daily part of life, and comes in many different varieties. Some of the worst crimes are the organized crimes. These crimes are also the most entertaining though, for the criminals at least. So choose your job. Boss, hit man, trader, a mercenary, or whatever you can think of that's illegal.
Give in to the dark desires of the underground world, and give the cops a big middle finger.
This role play is not intended to encourage actual criminal behavior.

Of Mavericks and Hunters
Based on the ever-popular series of Megaman.
A bright, new city, and dark, new dangers. Mavericks are still rampant upon the streets of New Fairway. The city is in dire need of protection.
Without the help of X, Zero, or the others, will the City burn, or be saved by new faces?

The Free Life
A slightly fantasy pirate role play.
The American Revolution is in the works, and people fight for their freedom while their oppressors fight to keep control. In efforts to make things harder for the other, pirates (or privateers) are hired by both forces to do anything and everything to make the other party weak and vulnerable. But it's not always about getting paid to do work. Sometimes, just doing whatever the Hell you want is good enough.
So what say ye set sail on Neptune's Cannon?

The Blood of Demons, the Steel of Samurai
A Fantasy Roleplay encapsulating a feudal time in Japan, in which Demons have begun to roam the lands.
The Demon King Astaroth has decreed that humanity is nothing but a blight and should be purged from the Earth's Realm. In response, humanity has gone into hiding to prevent their extinction, and some have even taken up arms to fight back.
Be either one of the Humans trying to fight an survive in this land of turmoil, a Half-Breed caught in the middle of the conflict, or a full-fledged Demon, and choose whether or not to fight with or against your own brethren out of either spite, code, or fun.
Demonic Force and Power, versus the Honor and Pride of the Samurai.
Who will prevail?

Demon's Souls: The Less-Losesome Path
Based Solely upon the popular PS3 Title, "Demon's Souls", The Roleplay is a spinoff of what it would have been had there been more than one main character the entire way through.
The Kingdom of Boletaria has become enshrouded in a colorless fog which threatens the survival of humanity itself. Those trapped by the fog are hunted down by the Demons inhabiting the colorless veil. Fight not only to save Boletaria and the salvation of humanity, but for your own soul as well!

Lady Jemima's Academy for the Elementals and Mentals
A thousand years ago, a school was opened to train students in magic. These students would then go out to fight the demons threatening the Earth. Now, the school has split it into two separate, rival groups - the Elementals and the Mentals. With rumors of the demons returning, this can only spell disaster.

Left 4 Lawlz
A role play based off of the games Left 4 Dead.
The zombie apocalypse has finally broken out, and the humans are greatly out numbered. However, they're not out smarted for the most part. In one of the now empty cities, survivors have gathered into the mall, using it as a base and safe haven. While it's not completely zombie proof, it's better than what's going on outside.
Bring your weapons and a buddy. It's going to be one hilarious apocalypse.

After Catastrophe: Genesis Undone
A future apocalyptic fantasy role play.
After the world didn't end in December 2012, something strange began to happen. People started to develop super powers, as if human evolution finally took another step forward. At first, things were decent as heroes and villains were born with these new powers. But soon the battles became disastrous and the world started to crumble. During one of the largest battles between the heroes and villains, something happened and the world suddenly changed. Time moved on, yet things were set into the late 19th century. Now, in the aftermath of the battle, people try to survive the wasteland that was once known as America, searching for relics and technologies of the past to make life a bit easier.
Are you someone just trying to survive? Help humanity rebuild? Are you one of those who are gifted with the old powers? Do you use these powers for the good of humanity, or to it's doom?

The Dark Tower
A role play based on the very popular game series Fable.
Lord Lucien has fallen, the blind seer known as Theresa, took control of the Tattered Spire and Albion once again knew peace. But the peace was unfortunately short lived. Jack of Blades of the Void has returned, and seeks not only revenge against those who lead to his demise, but to resurrect his old Court members, the Queen and Knight of Blades, and rule over Albion with an iron grip.
Defend Albion from it's old tyrants, or aid Jack in his hostile take over.

GAME
A Roleplay which takes place in the near future, inside of a Virtual World where nearly anything goes.
GAME's function was to not only act as a game, as the name implies, but to create a new, useful Utopia.
The only problem is, not everyone wants to play nice, and the Peace-Keepers aren't about to let this nameless enemy get past them.
But against hackers and Cyber Terrorists, what all can they accomplish alone..?

The Suffering: Another Cataclysm
A Roleplay based off of the games The Suffering: Prison is Hell, and The Suffering Two: Ties that Bind.
What would you do if hell itself opened up right in front of your eyes? Would you run? Hide? Cower as the screams filled the night sky and wait as they came for you? Or would you fight? Fight to survive, fight to save others, or just fight for fun? Hell has indeed opened its doors, and you're the meal ticket for whatever pops out..

Orcus Island
A science-fiction role play.
In the Atlantic Ocean, a new and unexplored island has been found. However, every expedition trip sent to study and map the new land has ended in the same way. The teams are always lost and contact is never made with them again. But despite the mysteriousness surrounding the island, people are still determined to find out what secrets the island holds.
