Hotaru jogged along an unused passage, exercising before the moon fell from the sky. It was a glorious night, the moon was full making him feel more powerful than usual. He was on his usual jogging route, and everything seemed okay until five ninja suddenly appeared around him. An ambush! He thought in surprise, dodging the first initial attack that involved flying shurikens. Instinctively, his eyes glowed slightly and checked if there were any genjutsu users among them; None. That, or none were using their jutsu at the moment. Inside of him, he felt something turn and he closed his eyes as his body transitioned from a being human to a wolf.
Some seemed shocked, while others didn't even blink. They didn't leave out any holes in their attack, they all jumped towards him with kunais in hand. Before they could jump directly on him, he threw his head back and began to howl. This released a powerful high-pitched wave of sound that pierced through the wind and traveled in through the ear, causing harmful vibrations which had badly disorientate the enemies to the point of temporarily deafness. After the daze, Hotaru's claws lit up with chakra flow and he attacked each individually, ripping them apart with his claws and teeth. He slowly turned back, continuing with his jog and leaving the bodies there on the ground. Hotaru was exhausted, and all he wanted was to curl up and sleep.

Looking at the scroll, he read the information carefully almost three times. It was a simple jutsu, great to start out the day of training. Focusing the chakra to his feet, he stepped uneasily onto the tree and started to walk up it. At first, he found it to be easy until he realized it was much more complicated than that. After falling on his butt, he decided to send a little more chakra to his feet. The key was to get the chakra to stick onto the tree, which he failed to continue the first time around. Trying again, he walked up and down the tree without any problem. He smiled for several minutes as he continued to do it until he mastered the technique.

The next jutsu he had to master was similar to the last, but this time instead of hard surfaces it was water. Hotaru suspected it would be easier, but the minute he stepped onto the water with his feet encased with chakra only to find it was much harder than that. He lost his balance quite quickly and ended up falling into the water. After trying again, and again, he realized that he had to establish his balance among the waves before he can master it. After finally getting the hang of the jutsu, he mastered it easily.

Now that standing on water was merely easy, he went over to his back pack and pulled out five kunai and a scroll. Feeling proud of his new techniques, he climbed a tree easily and started to read about the Projectile Control Skill. It was a simple, yet complicated skill that required the monkey hand seal to work. Getting up, he decided to try it. It took a few tries, but on the third kunai throw he was finally able to divert its path to something different. He seemed to master the throws after a few more, feeling oddly good about himself.

Now he decided to focus on more important things, such as learning some jutsu from his clan. It was important he learned the basics of his clan before most everything else, or else he would never be the head of his clan like he planned. Reading the scroll over and over, he felt his eyes begin to twitch. They shifted into what he believed to be the wolf eyes, his eyes feeling different, and when he jogged over to the water his eyes were glowing slightly. The problem was how to make it go off now that it was on. Concentrating to make his eyes go normal, he felt the change almost immediately. He did it a few times before it could be considered completely passive.

Staring at the next scroll that belonged to the Ookami Clan, he gulped. He was unsure of how to go about this, since it explained it very little. He concentrated first on changing his chakra flow-which was more than hard. It took him what felt like an hour before he can get that down, and when he started to transform he was hesitant in fear of the pain that would come with it. The hesitation messed up the transformation, and he ended up being human while crouching. Letting out a frustrated grunt, he tried again. This time he seemed to understand how it worked. After practicing for several minutes, he threaded over to the water to peer into it. His wolf form had light brown, dark brown, and white underneath. After making a few faces, he shifted back and began to shuffle through his backpack.

This technique allows the user to walk on vertical, unstable, or uneven surfaces and even on the ceiling. If the user's concentration is greatly impaired they will fall away from the surface they are striding upon. This technique lasts for as long as the user remains attached to the surface they connected to, but will have to be performed again if contact is broken from both feet.

This technique allows a ninja to walk on water or other large quantities of liquid as if it were a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water. If the user's concentration is greatly impaired they will fall into the water. If the user is submerged they can climb out of the liquid with this technique. This technique lasts 2 posts until more chakra needs to be reapplied.

A basic skill for those learning to master the art of wind control. With the ability to control air currents, one can give an advantage to them self when throwing projectiles such as kunai or shuriken. They will form a monkey hand seal after throwing a weapon to use the air currents to boost the speed of their weapon and alter its trajectory path slightly. Alternatively, this technique can be performed by swinging a fan instead of using hand seals.

This is a dojutsu that all Ookami clansmen can possess. The eyes grunted to them are considered to be the "Eyes of Truth" as they can peer through one's Genjutsu techniques, rendering them ineffective. Users are not effected by an opponent's ocular Genjutsu, though continuous use of the dojutsu ( exceeding six posts ) will cause strain on the eyes and slight dizziness overtime if they are in human form.

This is a technique that allows the user to change into their wolf form which may not exceed a height of three feet when on all fours. The user's wolf form can be held for up to four posts in battle before they must revert back to their human. Only bloodline jutsu may be performed in this form.
Taisuke went to another room to focus, ignoring all other people as she did. Zvon looked like he died, so she just left him there. She found a nice, peaceful area and sat down to read a scroll. It was among the scrolls she sometimes stored in her backpack, something to get her started. "Hmm.." It was instructions on how to perform a raiton technique, which was advanced above her rank by one. It required a few hand seals to be activated, and of course some chakra. She read it through about five times, memorizing the hand seals and slowly practicing them until she could do it in her sleep. Next, she stood up and concentrated, emitting chakra while doing the hand seals. She felt sparks start to fly off her, and she in return concentrated more chakra into it. More sparks flew, and before she knew it a familiar hum started to emit into the air. She looked back, over her shoulder to see the electricity start to take form into small birds. Taisuke gave out a loud sigh of relief, and started to practice controlling them. They were fast, but to know the extent of them she left them out for a while, in that time making them easy to maneuver through her mind. After about three minutes, the hummingbirds stopped humming and the jutsu slowly evaporated.

The user performs 3 hand seals then vents sparks of lightning, which will fly off of the user's body and into the air. Within moments they transform into five humming birds, each giving off loud, electrical humming sounds. The hummingbirds are controlled by the user to rush the opponent in coordinated assaults, or to attack multiple targets simultaneously. Upon contact, this jutsu will cause a moderately painful shock, which constricts the muscles in the struck area of the affected target (for the next following post). The birds disperse after one attack each, or after 6 posts.
