Welcome to Gaia! ::

the Outlaw Clematis
I try. xD (But have you ever reading stuff you've written years ago?) It's hard when I look back on my old writing! It's actually embarrassing, but also hilarious. I really couldn't tell how horrible I was until now. So I reckon it'll be the same with these short stories when I look back on them some time in the future. :/

Whaaaat? but I love moths! Moths are so gentle. They're kind of like butterflies, but not as attractive. They fly in this light, pell mell style. =3

        It is so embarrassing to look at that stuff. My characters were awful. AWFUL. I don't think I could have created a bigger Mary Sue. I even got offended when people said they didn't like her. LOL
        Memories of her haunt me to this day. ; w;
        I'd like to think I've toned down that sort of stuff now. Maybe. At least, I don't have like, you know, my first character.

        He eats then like candy. And if he loses track of one he's trying to catch, he looks at me and cries at me to find it for him so he can continue the hunt.

Well, I've submitted my request. I would've included more, but Gaia said it was too long.

        Far over the misty mountains cold
        To dungeons deep and caverns old
        We must away, ere break of day,
        To find our long-forgotten gold.
        Snapple Apple Fact of the Day:
        Hawaii is further south than Florida.
        The cycle repeated
        As explosions broke in the sky
        All that I needed
        Was the one thing I couldn't find

Tolkien is brilliant.

        Yes. Yes, he is.
        I'm re-reading The Hobbit (all those previews at the movies have inspired me). It's been eleven years since I last read it and I feel like I'm being introduced to a whole new story--even though I know what happens.

        The thing I'm most happy about with the movie is "Far over the misty mountains." I finally know what it sounds like. And also the dwarves. I'm hoping they'll be more individualized and actual separate characters than they were in the book. :T
        From all the production vlogs they've done, it looks like, at the very least, they'll be discernible.

Yes, it does look fantastic, and at least we can trust Jackson with Tolkien's work, haha. They are apparently including a lot of details from the appendices at the end of Return of the King, when Tolkien was planning on re-writing The Hobbit to better suit the series. However, there are also rumours of making three movies of it.

I know, I shudder just from reading the things I wrote! It's so comforting to know that we've improved, ehh? And that we'll still continue to improve. Nobody even bothered to give me constructive criticism before, so I thought I was the bomb. This is the result of people being polite; I get left in the dark.

Awww, is it true that dogs can act guilty if they've done something wrong? I saw a video of it. Cats, on the other hand, don't even know when they've done something wrong, it seems. Or they act as if they don't care. They just amble away haughtily . . .

        Oh, it's so exciting ! emotion_kirakira
        From what I understand, it is just two movies. At least, that is what Jackson is saying. And the production vlogs are actually pretty interesting. You not only get to see the behind the scenes things, but also, you meet the people behind the curtain. Btw, I did not know that Andy Serkis was an assistant director in the Hobbit. It should make things very interesting...

        It's so horrifying. I'd rather not think about it--and I'm sure you'd rather leave it alone as well. I'd have to say the biggest problem was people not telling you, "Hey, that's just baaad." from the beginning. And if they do say anything, you've been using said character for such a long time that you're just baffled and confused that they hadn't said anything before. Which, of course, makes it all the more shameful.

        Dogs do know when they've done something bad. Most training books/trainers will say that dogs don't associate punishment after the fact with what they did wrong--they just see it as being yelled/punished for no reason. But I call those lies. They get this guilty look and you just know--you just know that they stole food off of the counter, ate your shoe, went through the trash, or any number of things. And they know they weren't supposed to do it too. But, I've never seen a cat act guilty. I think the only sign that they've done something wrong is them getting hurt and/or scared by whatever it was they weren't supposed to do. Like, say... jumping on top of a book shelf only to have said book shelf topple over.

        Bottled and served with the table set in my finest suit
        Like a perfect gentlemen
        I'll be the fire escape that's bolted to the ancient brick
        Where you will sit and contemplate your day

Yeah! So don't hold back if you have anything bad to say about my characters/writing, okay?! I'm guilty of holding back though... although I really don't want to... It's just I know there are sensitive folks out there and not everyone wants the truth. I had a dorm-mate who got on everbody's nerves, but it seemed like she wasn't aware of it herself (probably because nobody ever confronted her about it). I was so conflicted on whether to point it out to her or not. In the end, I chickened out. Do you think I should have confronted her? :S

Oh... people... I wish I could read minds.

Anyway, there's a book comparing people with autism to cats. Cats just don't seem to grasp 'social norms'. I've always wanted doggies when I was little, but my dad is allergic. Now that I'm in uni and living away from family though, I get to keep a kitty. Found him as kitten in the backyard with his brother and they were both dying after their parents got captured by the Pet Control squad. :{ The brother was way feisty and refused to be caught... so he died before we could take him in.
