you have to click the link, then on the profile page, click the button that says Visit Great Tree. Then you will talk to Soren and he will ask you to find his friends. You then move around on the tree to each of his friends and click them. After you get them all, return to Soren and click him again.

This is actually the link to the replacement of the old gender change system. They used to allow 2 free gender changes in the Account Page. If you notice, there is the link on the left side, right under the place to change your name.
