Welcome to the M.C.I.L., the one stop for all your Chance Item List Needs. Here, you will find lists for every Chance Item on Gaia, From Gift Boxes to Current CI lists. Below, you will find image links to every CI's list, taking you directly to the post containing it. In most cases, you will find the Announcement banner if the item has one, a brief description, a link to the item, and bundle if it has one, followed by a list of each item in it, as well as links to those items in the marketplace. If the chance item contains a RARE ANIMAL, it will have a note like this next to it for easy searching.
This is a simplified list of items only. For art threads, individual item lists, and other misc. links and images, please see the appropriate threads in the Gaia Community Discussion Forum. If you are an original poster for those types of threads, and would like a link included to that thread in the master list, please PM me, and I will attend to it as soon as possible.
If you find that a link is broken or misdirected, please PM me with the link to the post, and where the error can be found. Rig Lists will include SD Plus dolls. For a list of SD Plus Dolls, See the link in the Blind Box Link.
Caution: This is a very image intensive thread. Some lag is to be expected. Also, this thread is meant to be informational. I will not send you CIs, or Items from them. Please do not PM me asking for them. Please stay on the topic of the thread, similar to the usual item lists found in the GCD. If you stray too far off topic, you will be asked to leave for 24 hours. If you are warned again, you will be added to the ignored list to prevent further posting.

The Blue Magical Giftbox randomly appears in the forums or towns. When they occur, the user's avatar will have a surprise bubble, a hint to look around the screen. They float around the screen, and must be clicked then to be moved into one's inventory. A blue box may contain most of the items found in a Pink Magical Giftbox or Brown Magical Giftbox, or a rare exclusive to the blue boxes.
The Brown Magical Giftbox randomly appears around the site or towns. When they occur, the user's avatar will have a surprise bubble, a hint to look around the screen. They float around the screen, and must be clicked them to be moved into one's inventory. A brown box may contain most of the items found in a Blue Magical Giftbox or the Spartan Cloak which is also found in a Pink Magical Giftbox.

Pink Magical Giftboxes appear in zOMG! in the form of Flying Giftboxes. Though these Animated look like this item, they are much less pleasant.
Dolls Will no longer be listed here, due to each doll being listed in each CI, and off the above link for order. That and there were so many dolls, it was exceeding the post size limit.
UPDATE: From Pepper-Tea
SDPlus Box Change
Hello! Just wanted to let you know, SDPlus Blind Boxes now work a little differently than they used to. When you open an SDPlus Blind Box you'll receive a package with a year on it, and that package will contain an SDPlus doll from the year listed. This affects all existing SDPlus Blind Boxes you may have in your inventory, as well as the ones you may receive in the future.
This was done due to a technical limitation of the system, but it also makes it easier to find the SDPlus dolls that you are looking for!
The technical issue is likely the number of dolls exceeds the database limit of the chance items. This allows for a 'box in a box' effect, essentially making it so instead of 300 items being able to be listed, this CI can have 90,000 different items.
This Merman monitors the happiness of your aquarium and offers up treasure. The happier your tank, the better the reward.
The prizes vary depending on how well loved the owner and the fishes are, as well as on the health of the tank. The happier the fish and healthier the tank, the better the items. The Overseer sometimes even gives out sets of exclusive items or a rare Evolving Item.
During the Halloween 2009 event, the Overseer was replaced with the merman Jaws.
When the User bought a Luck Key from either the Cash Shop or MP, they would wait for the Lucky Chest to show up. The Lucky Chest appeared randomly and only in Aquariums or the top banner and needed to be clicked in order for a screen to pop up and display a number of items and their worth. Below the items was a timer (displaying how long the chest would remain visible to the User) and the option of choosing to open it or not. It was a matter of simply using the Key to open a chest to receive an item.
When a fish dies (reached to or pasts its life expectancy), Barrett will inform Gaians that all of their fish's possessions are now theirs. This is left in the form of a fish "drop". This drop is transferred to the Item Inventory. There are certain rare items that can be found in fish drops.
To open the fish "drop", go to My Gaia, then go to Inventory (the coat hanger), after loading the drop can be found under the "Special" tab, choose a fish "drop" and there should be a choices of "Use", "Gift", "Trash Item", or "Close".
When drop did not contain themed prizes, the drop would hold a furniture item, this item was a Piano worth up to 3K. These are considered place holders and due to their worth, drops that contain them are prevented from being sold or bought on the Marketplace or will not be able to be opened.
Due to the changing nature of the drops, both from the mini monsters, and standard Aquarium fish, there will be no list for either monster types at this time. I will however provide a link to the MP that should give a list for all Aquarium items, fish, drops, and rares.
ED Note: I am not against a list being made. If someone has the patience to do that, and is willing to provide it in the same format as the rest of the list, I am more than willing to give them credit in this post.
The Crystal Box is a CI that is available with the purchase of either a 2500 GC card, or 2500 GC from Paypal. While these offers do often include exclusive items, the box itself has a few rares. There are also several animals, not listed here, that were released along WITH the crystal boxes, that have since become prizes from it. As such, those animals are not listed as rares.
A CI that allows the person wearing the flute to play Faunzy in a daily game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, for increasingly higher prizes. Failure resets the game to day one.
Unlike other item lists, this one will not be alphabetical, but instead be displayed in the order of prize level.
You'll never know what you'll get when you open up this crazy thing! Everything you get from this box is worth at least 49 Cash, so you're sure to get a square deal. Or maybe more of a cube.
This Box, while a CI, only had ONE Rare, the Ancient Chest. The Ancient Chest's List will be in another post.
When you open this magical box, a single item will pop out. If you're lucky, you might get something rare and amazing!
This Box, while a CI, only had TWO Rares, the Fluff Box, and the zOMG Head Start Ticket. The Fluff Box's List will be in another post.
Hermes' Moon: Aspiration boasts a new generation of the classic EI with all its poses unlocked and ready to wear. If you're super lucky, you might get the ultra-rare Mercury Moon instead, which features silver-colored versions of all the Hermes' Moon poses.
ED Note: While this CI only has 2 possible outcomes, it is the first, and possibly the only, CI of it's kind, meriting a solo post.
Advance Chances are a way to cash in on a Chance item before it's released. Working in a way similar to the MC Envelope, these bundles have 9 chances at the next CI to happen hours before the main release. There is no assurance of better chances, or reward known of at this time for early investment.
For a small adoption fee of 49 Gaia Cash, Gaians could pick up an Certificate of Adoption in the Gaia Cash Shop. Opening this certificate will randomly assign you one of over a dozen adoptees, including some new faces that weren't seen during Gaia's 2007 holiday event.
This strange hat generator will spawn a random piece of headgear when you activate it. It's packed with dozens of hats: a whole bunch of brand new ones, many with several poses, plus a bunch of rare and valuable hats from Gaia's past.
Bags of Win are incredible enchanted bags that generate high-end items upon being opened. They are also the only known source of Mythrill Coins, which can be sold back to Gaia's shops for 10,000, 100,000 or even ONE MILLION Gaia Gold. Amounts are varied, but All items in it are valued for sellback for at least 5000 gaia gold.
The OMFG Box is the cousin of the OMG Box, this time featuring a whole new random assortment of expensive store items, Cash Shop favorites, rare stuff, unreleased items from Gaia's past and brand new, never-before-seen items.
The Bag of Win 2 is the new and improved version of the Bag of Win. A random item can be obtained from the bag, ranging from valuable items from Gaia stores, Cash Shop items, evolving items, rare boxes and Mythrill Bags.
When the player bought a Fortune Egg, they were given the task to incubate the egg until it reached the highest level or it failed and required the player to crack it open. Players could crack the egg at any level regardless of no incubation.
Rubbing the lamp will free the genie inside, who will in turn grant you a reward. Your reward may be a item from the Cash Shop or Gaia's Gold shops, or a exclusive item only available from the Repo Lamp.
When the player bought a FAMESTAR 2000, they were to audition for a show but in doing this they would come face to face with a character to challenge who was also auditioning for the show. They started at Round One and moving onto various Rounds (Two / Three / Four / Five) until they either passed to the highest round and dropped out or got to the highest round and failed. If they failed they would get an item and also an autographed picture from the character that was competed against.
When the player bought a Emerald Seed, they were given the task of helping a Flower Imp tend to a seed. If they succeeded in growing the seed into a fruit the player could hold onto the seed or open it for a prize. The Golden Fruit was a potential prize for all seeds, but the odds were rare.
When the player bought a Gee Boi Turbo, they were presented with two buttons. The A/B Button and the Arrow Button. During the game the A/B Button is the only button to press to continue playing, with each stage they were presented with a scene: the loading screen, the scene title, the scene caption, the scene image, and the choice screen. If neither button was pressed the animation of the scene would repeat itself. To end the game and get an item at any stage (at special stages the odds of getting certain items were rare) players had to press the Arrow. At the victory and game over scenes they had a choice to press the A/B Button and Arrows Button to receive an item.
When the player bought a Midsummer Swirl, they would have a choice of being on the side of Good or Bad. They were then sent into battle to challenge an opponent in various rounds until they lost, reached victory or dropped out.
When the player bought a Lonely Star charm, clicking on it would give 3 options, by clicking one of these options they were led to 3 more options: two done in the form of "Ask a question", while the 3rd was "Give me an item!".
When the player bought a Dark Reflection, they were sent to an Alternate Gaia to search for Kanoko, upon meeting an alternate version of a Gaia NPC. Gaians would have the option to stop and receive an item or continue to search for Kanoko. The item received from the characters were random, but there was a chance that Gaians would run into a Mysterious Man (the owner of the mirror), who would automatically end the search. Once Gaians managed to find Kanoko, they would be given the exclusive prize.
