I'm pretty sure it works like this:
Gaia hair has two layers, a sort of front bang layer and a back layer.
I think the Scissors leave the bang/front layer mostly unchanged and has a mask for the back layer.

Actually, there's at least 3 layers possible. One with most hair bangs which goes above some masks, one which is nearer to the skin which can go under the same masks, one which goes under the base.

I'd just like to see the sections on gold shop hair and wigs from RIG items finished because those are the ones I can't check out on my own in the inventory search. Nothing is of any particular rush, just this hasn't seen much progress in a while and I do hope it will get at least those sections done. I would like to know what the hime hair looks like though with the scissors taken to it. That thing could use some hacking away at to make it more manageable.
