Well, for some people it isn't so obvious.
Sometimes the pop-ups look convincing
as well as the virtual worlds password phishing.
As long as we're just stating opinions here,
I don't think many people deserve to get hacked.
I mean, if someone managed to figure out my password,
that doesn't mean that I deserved or was asking to be hacked.
Hacking a gaia account is pretty much like a smaller-sized version of identity theft.
People aren't looking to have their identity stolen,
they just sometimes make mistakes and give their information out to the wrong people.

Also, about the post I made here,
I was 95% sure I copied the link from the main forum page to the hack report.
I wasn't purposefully trying to lead him to this guide.
Sometimes we screw up a little. sweatdrop

I am glad there is a forum for this now. I had an issue with my account being hacked and items stolen from me a couple years ago. It took the admin about 2 weeks, but I got my stuff back.

I can't believe someone would stoop to hacking a GAIA account. Seriously.

I was hacked once. Yeah, it was kinda stupid. I got my stuff back after two weeks, I think. The moron who hacked me is still wandering around out there, though.

Just shows how much society sucks.

I agree, it is mostly obvious stuff that Gaia already has posted everywhere.
If only people would take the time to read the stickies, then they wouldn't have to search out 'guides' like this one.
