WELCOME TO GAIA ONLINE.
THis quick guide is to help show you everything you need to know to make your gaian experience easier.
quick notes: You can only change your name twice. Pick something and stick with it. =D
The Forums are, well, forums: Basic rules: no bumping (unless it's an OLD topic), no excessive Innapropriate (Racial, Sexual, that stuffs) stuff, Keep posts literate to be respected. =D
Guilds are like groups.
Towns is a live-action flash chat. You'll see when you open it.
Your profile is like a myspace profile, except here it is easier to add stuff since they added a graphic editor. domokun
Sending Private Messages (PMs)
PMs are simpler on gaia. You open it, and type. click on one of the many smileys on the left to insert it, or learn it's text equivalent. ( emo =
Highlight anything and then click a button or dropbox above the editor to modify the text.
Guilds, Gaia Gold, Items, and the world map
Guilds are much like MS Groups, except they cost 20,000 gold. (Quite a hefty fine, but it makes sure gaia isn't overloaded with guilds)
Gold is the gaia equivalent of cash. You get it for posting, playing games, that stuff.
You can use your gold to buy items, such as clothes, accessories, and furniture for your home. -points at my "G9 Laptop"- ninja
Gaia's world map is a graphical way to get to Shops, Games, a Casino, and Fishing locations.
Homes
Gaia Homes are a part of Towns. You can buy a house, a plot of land, and people can come visit it, and stuff. >.>
Forums
Forums are your typical forums. They are divided up by subject, and are usually full of friendly people. Gaia has millions of members, so you're responded to quite quickly. (There are a few slow-moving forums, but be patient, young skywalker.)
Navigation
There are two ways to navigate gaia.
1- Click one of the dark blue tabs on the very top. A subnavigation of links will appear based on the one you click.
2- five buttons underneath the main navigation, they look like a downward arrow, a megaphone, a !, two arrows, 3 circles, and an envelope. Hovering your clicker arrow over them will give information as to what they do, or what they take you to.

Gaia Online is still growing, and new things are added daily.
The site still requiress a profile-comment notification message, and the friendslist is a tedious process to master.
